What's great about it: Easy to use with great results, affordable price!
What's not so great: I have not found any thing to complain about!
I LOVE this camera!!! I can get amazing results anywhere! Even indoors at night the pictures come out bright and sharp! I was sort of leery about the touch screen on the back, but it's easy to use and makes changing settings very quick. I got this on sale for $100 and it was worth every penny!

I received this camera as a gift. I didn't even have it a month and the viewing screen started turning everything pink. I paid to have it sent it to Nikon and they wouldn't fix it because I didn't have the original receipt (again, it was a gift). DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! It never took good pictures and the company isn't willing to take responsibility for a poor product.

What's great about it: Great price, easy to use

Bought this to upgrade from a Canon 4 Megapixel. Needed a small, easy to carry 2nd camera. Works great! Huge screen that is super clear. Has nice features, pretty much anything you'd want plus some features that were a surprise. Has a small delay between pics, but not excessive. Has a rechargable battery, which I love. Nice battery life after charging. Super compact - it's smaller than my phone. Has a 5x zoom which is good. Haven't figured out the sports feature yet, all my pics came out blurry, but didn't spend a lot of time reading up on it. Very happy with purchase.

If you can believe this, we are upgrading from a Sony that is 3 megapixels...
The price is great, the size is small and the touch screen is fun. However, I cannot seem to get a good picture indoors. Either the pictures are yellow or too bright. I've tried manipulating most common settings and they change the image quality, but not for the better.
Again, could be me.
The touch screen is super, though has a lag...
I'll reserve an all-out pan or yeah! until I learn more, but caveat emptor.

What's not so great: Short battery life
I purchased this camera for my daughter two years ago and she loves it so I bought myself one. Not sure what has happened in the last two years with the battery but my has to be charged all the time. Even if I don't use it for a while. I still love the pictures and the easines of using it. The flash setting for low light is awesome.

Bought this compact point-and-shoot camera on sale from BestBuy store plus received a complimentary $10 gift card, which I used towards 8Gb SD card and the carrying case Very nice camera - bright, vivid, vibrant colors, even in the dimly lit areas; easy to point and shoot; decent resolution, flash range and battery life. Overall a great compact camera for traveling and everyday use. Strongly recommend. I also have a Nikon D3000 DSL. This small point-and-shooter is on par with the DSL, which is amazing fact in itself... The only difference is smaller optical zoom, but then again, I am not a paparazzi...

I usually buy Sony Camera but I'm wasn't looking for a great camera reason for I have DSL Cannon camera which take great pictures. I need a very small, compact and inexpensive camera to carry around. There is no reason for me to spend $300 camera. I'm happy with my purchase and I would probably be happier with a sony or a better Nixon. Either way it does the job.

Didnt like the camera at all. Every picture i took was blurry, bad color. Not happy with the quality. Returned it and bought a Sony instead.

First, let me say that I am happy with this camera; it provides good value for the purchase price of $99.00. At this price point, you can't expect top-end features. I bought this camera because I wanted a small, inexpensive camera to carry in my pocket at all times. It serves that purpose.
This is a true point-and-shoot camera. It has few useful settings besides automatic. It takes good outdoor photos when there is adequate light, and the outdoor color accuracy is good. There is no discernible barrel or chromatic distortion. Indoors, the automatic white balance is less than accurate. The 5x optical zoom is somewhat misleading in that the no-zoom position is actually wide-angle, so the full-zoom position is more like 2.5x than 5x. Nonetheless, I like the wide-angle zoom setting; it allows me to get more into the photo without having to back away so much.
The 3" touch screen is bright and works well.One of the options is to just tap the screen to take a photo, and the camera will use the tap-point as the auto-focus and auto-exposure point.
Battery life seems excellent, which is good because I am disappointed that this camera does not come with a wall charger; you have to plug it in to your computer to charge it. Fortunately, I found an AC/car charger plus 2 spare batteries for $19.95 on the internet.
I have not tried the movie mode, so I can't comment on that feature.
If you are looking for an inexpensive, pocket-size camera that you can just point-and-shoot without a bunch of fiddling around with controls and settings, then this camera is for you. If you want more control over the photo-taking process, I would recommend the Canon A3300, which is currently offered at Best Buy for the same $99.00 I paid for the S4100.

Got this camara for my daughter for Christmas. She loves the camara, but the battery quit working in less than 2 months. The battery wouldn't
charge at all, and the camara wouldn't even turn on with the battery plugged in. Had to order a new battery (I got a different brand than what came with it) and now it is working just fine. It's a GREAT camara, just expect to buy a different battery from the start.

This camera takes really good pictures but u don't want to use it for making videos with. I purchased this camera to record my church service and purchased a 32 gb memory card and will not let me record or very long. Nikon only will let you record up to 29 min long even if you have a big amount of space on your memory card

The camera was poor quality. After only having it for a few days it froze up once. The touch screen was poor quality and not very responsive. It took way to long to access the memory card when reviewing photos. The video quality says 720p but its grainy and choppy. We took it back and got the canon a3300. The Canon is perfect and has none of the same problems that the Nikon had. It accesses the same memory card lightning fast and the picture and video quality are MUCH better. and it just feels sturdier.
