This is closely related to the other LG IPS panel (see my other products below for the consumer model), and is a special order professional model. The bezel is matte black, not shiney, and the stand has multiple rotation movements that the consumer version lacks.
Both feature by far the least expensive IPS, which stands for, "In Plane Switching," panels you can purchase. What IPS means is that it can reproduce far more colors more accurately than the TN, which stands for, "Twisted Nementic," panels used almost all other consumer displays - 16.7 million on an IPS to the 65,536 that a TN panel can reproduce. Spec sheets aside, all other displays, save for a few Apple and high end HP/Dell deisplays, simulate 16.7 million colors via software dithering, and this doesn't, it displays them accurately.
This makes the panels superb for photographic or video work, or anywhere that color accuracy is important. Other features of the IPS panels include slower response rates, making them less suitable for games, although it can still keep up with those, and wider viewing angles so the colors remain accurate across a wide angle of view.
I highly recomend these for most people. You are paying for superb image quality, not features, so for some people you will be better off with a less expensive panel that may include speakers or HDMI. For me, this was where my money went in a heartbeat, and the panel is worth twice its price.

What's great about it: Non-glare finishes, versatile stand.
What's not so great: No HDMI input.
IPS technology provides a great image that does not change with viewing angle. The stand allows adjustment for tilt, height, and can rotate the monitor to be horizontal or vertical. It also swivels left-to-right, but is more stable if this feature is removed.
The screen has a matte, non-glare finish, and the small black bezel also is matte finish - not the glossy plastic of most monitors.
Great colors, fast response, LED backlight - an excellent value!
I would recommend this to a friend!
