What's great about it: 3D works easily and perfectly
What's not so great: Ocarina button layout change
I played this on N64, GameCube and I'm playing it again on the 3DS - it's still thoroughly enjoyable. It is not a direct port - the graphics have been improved significantly. Players new to the franchise or just the game will have a blast. Controls are easy and seamless - controlling the bow using the gyro is perfect.
My one complaint is that the button layout for the ocarina is changed - needlessly, perhaps. I had some muscle memory of the ocarina songs - it's all gone. Happily, you can quickly play any song straight from a single touchscreen menu.

What's great about it: graphics, true to the original
I loved Ocarina of Time for N64. It is the first game I ever completed, so I have a special fondness for this game.
When I opened the game, the memories of Hyrule came flooding back. The graphics are better than ever - rich colors, sharp details. The audio is wonderful, both through headphones and through the 3DS internal speakers.
I am thrilled with this version of Ocarina of Time. It is wonderful to play it, again.

What's great about it: Nice bright colors, and smooth controls
What's not so great: Not enough action...boring
The game is honestly not that good. The colors it demonstrates are great. The graphics are okay, and the gameplay sucks. The music isn't bad, but it's very orchresta-ish and it bores you. I've always LOVED Zelda since the 90's but this game did not live up to the hype guys...sorry.

This remake of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time updates one of the greatest games of all time, and makes a classic feel current without messing with anything that made it a classic. The 3D is spectacular, and the rest of the graphical updates seem so natural that it feels like they are just the way the game has always been. The touch screen controls make some situations far more fluid with the ability to change items and gear quickly on the fly.
With the inclusion of boss battles where you can at anytime go back and face bosses you have already encountered, and the increased difficulty of the Master Quest giving reason to come back...
If you have never played Ocarina, then now is definitely the time to do so.
If you have played Ocarina, then now is definitely the time to play it again.

What's great about it: It's Zelda, Hint system, long lasting, 3D, visuals, gameplay
What's not so great: Nothing much.
The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time was dubbed "One of the Best Nintendo 64 games" back in the 90's, I owned an N64 but never did own Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time until I got the Wii and downloaded the game. Even though I had the internet, I was always lazy to get my but up and look up walk-throughs, I always got lost at the Forest Temple. Luckily Ocarina of Time included a Hint System in the game so if you're like me who actually had trouble in previous Zelda games, even the original N64 Ocarina of Time, the Hint System is a GREAT help. Even though most of the game is unchanged, the graphics and design is still breath taking, with or without the 3D. Really if you're looking for a Nintendo 3DS game that can keep you busy for quite awhile, then no doubt you should get The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D. Heroes may be remembered, but Legends never die.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: A classic brought to 2011 on a new median
What's not so great: Some of the new features are kind of gimmicky and quickly loose their appeal.
I was skeptical at first that this would another port. The release of Mario 64 on the DS first came to mind with it's clunky controls and still terrible camera control. I was pleasantly surprised by the Ocarina of Time 3D. I put many hours into the original and the 3D version is incredible. They updated the textures from the notoriously bad 64 version. The 3D's depth is great but I would say I had it turned off most of the time because I'm kind of twitchy gamer and it quickly went out of focus. The aiming system in which you move the 3DS to change the view is fun in noncritical fights. I found my self turning this feature off in boss fights where I nearly tossed the unit in rage. They did include a new feature in which you can see hints on how to solve a puzzle which I found incredibly useful. Overall it is still the same great story of a timeless classic that feels fresh and fun.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What else can you say about this game? It is the BEST of ALL time. Graphics have been enhanced, ported to the 3DS, and is now 3D(which i could care less)
