What's not so great: nothing yet....
I have an arsenal of snares and just picked this up to check it out. I figured it was worth checking out. Its a standard size snare, Pearl Branded and $99, figured couldn't go wrong.
This snare is great sounding. Even straight out of the box, great sound. Its full sounding and has a great crack to it.
Definitely worth to check out. It can be used as a primary snare and sounds like a $400 snare.
