What's great about it: The keys work
What's not so great: Keypad 0 button set to the right
Every keyboard I've ever used that had a separate keypad on the right side had the same layout for the numbers, with the zero key directly under the 1 key. With this keyboard, the keys are smooshed together to make the entire board shorter. While I appreciate the attempt to make my desk look less cluttered, the arrow keys have now infiltrated the number pad, so the right arrow key pushes the zero key over to the right by one. As someone who has done data entry for a number of years, this means that every time I mean to press the zero key, I hit the right arrow, which causes no end of frustration. Plus, since the inverted triangle of arrow keys is no longer separate from the other keys, I can't immediately find the correct arrow key just by touch like I can with virtually EVERY OTHER KEYBOARD.
I supposeI can say that the keys on the keyboard work when pressed, so I can't give this just one star, but that's the only thing that's good about it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: good feel when using and slim size
I bought this combo for my dad to use with his laptop because his laptop has totally flat keys and touch pad which gave him absolutely no feel of where your fingers are and causes you to accidentally move and click the pointer. He absolutely loves it and uses it with the Fellows laptop riser I also got him. The slim design of the keyboard fits right in front of the set up on his desk perfectly even with the desk he uses being fairly shallow in depth. He also says and I agree the feel of the mouse is great. the contours and ribbed texture on the sides really gives you a good grip and the side nav buttons are placed really well so you not only can feel where they are but also don't accidentally click them. The left and right buttons on top also have a good solid feel to them. The only minor flaw we found is the same as an issue mentioned in the review of the mouse (when bought separately) and that is the red light does shine through the scroll wheel opening BUT nothing like the other person was saying (they called it like a headlight or something but I wouldn't agree at all with that statement). It just lets some light through but nothing bothersome. Though for the money I would think they could have sealed it off a bit better, but hey compared to other mice that are for sale it's a small imperfection. Really this is the only reason I gave it a "good" rating for "value for the price".
All in all I'm totally glad I got it for him and looking forward to having the extra money to get myself this set along with the same laptop riser from fellows so I don't have to look down at my laptop anymore either!
