What's great about it: great sound, easy to read, extra loud, great answering machine
LOVED this phone. Bought it in a hurry when we moved, but have been thrilled with it. Answering machine is easiest we've used (prefer it to what came with phone service!) especially with large numbers, large buttons, one button deleting or save (unlike others that have you go through too many steps!) on the base. Easy to check messages from handset, too. Nice to have an easy to see flashing sign (and beep if you wish) to EASILY see if there's been messages while you were out or busy! Has DECT 6.0 technology, so the sound during calls and for caller ID is crystal clear and there's no interference with wireless devices or neighbors. Earpiece and answering machine are nice and loud for hard-of-hearing. Easy to hold unlike some cordless phones. Shape also makes it safe to set down without accidentally dialing. Dial buttons are completely lit up (vs. just lettering) and stay lit up to make dialing in low light or at night SO easy! White color makes it easy to find headset in dimly lit rooms. Very easy to put back in base quickly unlike other brands we've had; others won't line up quite right in a hurry or fall out easily if you don't get it just so or won't charge up right if it's not set in perfectly! Sound quality was outstanding, range was great in our large backyard and up three floors inside. Speakerphone works great. Battery life was much longer than our previous phones. The menu was way easier in maneuvering set up than others we've had. Our favorite part was the dial was so easy to read: larger 'font' and the brightly-lit light green backlight was so much easier to see than other orange and dark gray ones! Other cordless phones have frustrated us: this one is a joy to use.
