Coming from a 20 year old washer/dryer, this washer is simply amazing. A couple tablespoons of detergent does the job on even the largest loads of laundry.
The steam option is nice as my wife and daughter both have asthma (apparently this is the first line of washing machines to receive a thumbs up from the Asthma and Allergy Foundation).
I was a bit worried about the front-load "odor" that I've read so much about, so I installed a WasherFan kit (http://www.washerfan.com) and there has been no odor whatsoever.
Highly recommended.
