What's great about it: Virtually nothing about it that looks like it could break.
What's not so great: Not a thing.
I love club soda so it will pay for itself quickly. The syrups that came with it are all good. I got the Soda Stream with the idea of making my own healthy carbonated drinks using fruit juices. Love it!

This product saves you a lot of money and so far all this favors taste like the real thing including the energy drink taste like Red Bull.
The soda last forever never losing the fizz.
I just love this product. Each flavor makes 50-8oz drink, the cartridge of co2 makes150-8oz sodas .
You can also make your own club soda.
You also do not seem to drink as much soda.

What's great about it: Easy to use, no electric or anything needed. Cartridge seems to be holding out well.
What's not so great: Screwing on and off the bottles can be difficult.
My only complaint is that you have to get used to screwing the bottles in - it's sort of counter intuitive since the whole righty tighty thing is reversed. But it's a small problem, easily overcome. I've enjoyed experimenting with making my own flavors using powdered drink mixes and fruit juice concentrates.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy, Quick & Flavors

The product itself is very easy to set-up and use. You'll be making your own pop in about 5 minutes after opening up the box.
The product also has a small profile on your counter and obviously does not need a plug so you have options on where it fits in your kitchen.
The flavors that I've tried and use are very close their Coke counterparts. We stick to the Coke, Diet Coke and Zero flavors. While they do not match exactly, they are close enough for our liking.
The part we really like is that we can control the carbonation so while my wife likes pop more carbonated; I like pop with a little less bubbles. Since you control the carbonation, you can play around with it to fit your liking.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: A little pricey
My wife loves plain carbonated water but I hate lugging cases of the stuff home and taking up fridge/pantry space. This lets her make it when she wants it. The soda mixes aren't bad either but the water should be reduced a bit or the soda tastes a little weak. You can flavor your water with everything from sports drink mixes to instant tea. Very easy to use also!

What's not so great: Having to go on a wild goose chase for the carbonator
My boyfriend was telling me about an infomercial he saw with a soda machine. After I investigated and found out what it was I purchased it as a surprise. He loves that dang on soda machine. The only issue I have with the machine is after the carbonator runs out you can only get it refilled from certain stores. When it first ran out I came back to Best Buy only to be informed that I could only get it from certain stores i.e. Bed Bath and Beyond. I just wish it was an easier way to get the carbonator. Other than that, the machine works wonders and it tastes like real soda that you buy from the store, some flavors are better than others.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What a money saver!! This machine is a great invention and works great. All the flavors taste the same and the 60-L cartridge stays true even after it sits for a while without use. The price for the concentrate is worth the money and modestly priced.

At first I bought this hoping to save money. Once I started using it, I figured out that all this considered, it's about the same cost as buying name brand soda 2 liter bottles.
The main advantage is taste. The SodaStream syrups use real cane sugar, not corn syrup, so the taste is much better.

Message to Best Buy... Please stock CO2 refills in your stores... I went through my first one in about 2 weeks, and refilling by mail order is a pain... Actually, the biggest disadvantage of the product.

Seemed like a really good idea. Make your own soda and cut down on plastic bottle waste. However I think the system is grossly over priced. The flavor trial packs are all really good until you buy the bigger bottles. Those have awful after tastes. Its best to try and make your own flavors if you are able.

I really, really wanted to love this product but couldn't. Tried almost all of the flavors in the trial pack and bought a couple of additional ones but they were all horrible. The only one that was decent was the cherry cola, but that was it. They all left an awful aftertaste.
The product itself works well and seems well made. Little expensive for what it is, considering I can get a paintball CO2 cylinder much cheaper, but it seems durable. Unfortunately I returned it though as I just could not stand the flavors.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: ease of operation, great taste, no more heavy lifting
What's not so great: visible bubbles
I really like the soda maker. It is so much easier than carrying heavy cases of soda into the house. I can make what I need when I need it. No more half empty 2 litre bottles to carry either.
It does not have the visible bubbles like the canned or bottled soda, but the fizz is there and it does not need electric.
I would recommend it gladly.

Bought this for a friend for Christmas and it is loved! She makes her own soda, or plain old carbonated water and uses it everyday. it's easy to use, no trouble to maintain or anything. This is a gift/item that will get plenty of use over the years. We are very happy with it thus far. I highly recommend this to anyone considering an item such as this.

Great little gadget. Was a little leery about it but so far so good. Easy to use and the pop mix is actually good. love the root beer and the cola is good too. carbonation is great and lasts a long time.

What's not so great: Bottles are not dishwasher safe. That's about it.
Great product. Saves me a ton of money on soda pop as well as deposits. Saves on the environment as there is very little waste. No gross cans to take back. 1/3 of the calories of an average can of the same kind of soda! Easy to use. Draws no power. Easy to clean. The list goes on and on! Flavors are close but no cigar, but it's akin to drinking a alternate soda brand such as Faygo! Has every flavor you could want and some flavors most people would never want! :-)

then I could be stinking rich by now. Ha ha ha. This has been by far the best "kitchen gadget" I have ever purchased. It is incredibly easy to use, it uses just plain tap water, and gives you back a liter of good tasting soda. I like the fact that you can control the amount of carbonation, thereby affecting the taste. I haven't found a syrup yet that I don't like, but the Diet Energy is my favorite by far. It's even better when I tell my friends that I only pay 6.99 for 24 1/2L cans of it. I use this machine every day at least once, so it is saving me a ton of money.

What's great about it: Tastes Great, Never have to worry about flat Soda
What's not so great: Diet Coke, BestBuy does not sell the CO2 canisters
I was very hesitant to spend $80 on a soda maker. But after waiting awhile and reading some of the reviews i thought i would give it a try. And boy was i pleasantly surprised. the soda tastes great with the exception of the Diet Coke, which was ok because the Coke Zero they have takes much better. The "Energy" tastes exactly like RedBull and is PERFECT for cheaper jager bombs. Overall I would Rate it a 9 out of 10. Only con being that BestBuy does not sell the CO2 canisters, which will have to be swapped out from the website, which isn't much of a hassle. It is great no longer throwing away flat soda all the time from buying two liters no one drinks.
Bottom line: you won't be disappointed!
I would recommend this to a friend!
