This was used on my wifes computer and I have an older one on mine. We are hard-core gamers so these things take a beating for a long time.

If you are looking for a good mouse, at a good price, this is the one for you. I use it primarily for gaming and it is very accurate and the extra buttons are very useful. Also one must know that Logitech always has good items.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Nice looking mouse
What's not so great: Very quick/slick
I'm going to be returning the 2 I bought and here's why - the bottom feet/pads on this mouse are very slick. I was looking to replace a MX518 and this mouse is considerably quicker and lighter. That may not be a negative for some, but for me it was just way too 'slick'. Felt like my mouse was on top of ice and it just was not comfortable for me.
If your store has these, I would go and look at one first so you can see the feet on the bottom as they are huge on this one.
That extra quickness/slick feel is just a bit much for my use. I am doing precision stock trading and I can't have a mouse that might be a little jumpy. I tried adjusting the pointer speed and everything, it's just the design of the actual mouse is too quick for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Accurate, simple, classic.
What's not so great: Won't do my laundry
After 7 years or so I finally wore through an old G series Logitech almost identical to this, and holding onto my new one is like being with an old friend.
Back and forward buttons, contour, nice wheel, and the DPI controls. It's all I want in a mouse and this has it. Forget wireless, 1000hz reports and a USB extension is all I need.
The Logitech Gaming software was a bit finicky at times and decided to change around my DPI values (you can set several presets). It also allows you to reassign buttons including the softkey below the DPI controls.
I would recommend this to a friend!
