What's great about it: Sound is incredible
What's not so great: ear pressure
The sound quality is fantastic. So many things in the music that I never knew were there before. I use them for vocal work (the reason I even purchased them) and lots of music listening. The bass is weak and I'm one of those who prefer it that way. I also compared them to the much more comfortable K272HD headphones which have the same drivers. I actually prefer the K171 over the K272HD and posted the detail on my wordpress blog (akgk171 dot wordpress dot com).
These things sound a little more settled after about 50 hours of use time and my only complaint is that they're uncomfortable for longer listening periods.
