What's great about it: Kids love it
What's not so great: uses up battieries fast
You just need to get the adapter for it, or have lots of batteries on hand.

What's great about it: Compact-like a ipad Buy the carrying case, too, to protect it.
What's not so great: Goes through a lot of batteries-get rechargeable ones. You still need to buy all of the apps.
I bought this for my handicapped sister. She is older, but does not
read well and enjoys some hand held games. This has hellped her reading capabilities as well as given her a lot of other things to do with it.

What's great about it: Size, ease of use, perfect for the toddler set
What's not so great: Uses batteries, but go with rechargeables. Stylus can be misplaced, but it is not really necessary.
I looked at all the tablets available for children, including Leapfrog and the Nabi tablet from Toys R Us. I even considered the Kindle Fire. Hands down the V-Tech Innotab is superior for a 3 year-old. It comes with an interactive story which she loves and two fun games appropriate for her age. More stories can be downloaded. It has a paint program that keeps her busy for hours. It is touch screen, kid friendly and comes in both pink and blue. You can buy additional games, books and applications, plus you can add a memory chip to increase storage. You can take pictures and download music. It is sturdy enough for a 3 year old and the screen is larger than Leapfrogs. I highly recommend this product for young children. If they are fascinated with your iphone/ipad, give them their own tablet without breaking the bank. I bought a big pack of batteries, although using rechargeables is the way to go. Add the 2 year protection plan for $15.00.

I love the fact that my daughter can color, read, play games, and much much more all in one toy. It's like an iPad for kids mixed with a Nitendo DS. I can update it anytime and add apps and other things very easily. Great product for a great price...

What's great about it: Kids love playing, tons of features
What's not so great: battery usage
I really am so happy we decided to buy this for my daughter who is 4. It was a toss up over the leap pad product and we decided on this one. My daughter begs to spend even more time on her itab as we call it but we mainly give it to her when we are out shopping or I need to get supper cooked. While she is playing it she constantly calls out things like Mommy I just spelled umbrella or I just drew a star. The itab also stores photos, videos, and music that you can transfer from your computer. I just bought an 8gb sd card and it is very easy to install and transfer files using the included usb cable and download.

What's great about it: Easy to set up, very child friendly, can be used with earphones

This was a Christmas gift for my five year old granddaughter. I was at a loss, as to what to get her, and seen the Innotab advertised on TV. I looked it up, read the reviews, and knew it would be a perfect gift for her. She loved it, played with it the entire time she was visiting us for the holidays and her parents looked forward to her having it to entertain her on the flight back home on the westcoast. Other family members bought additional software so she was set. It is educational, entertaining, and lets her use her imagination. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for the perfect gift for a younger child. A rechargable AA battery purchase along with this will be helpful as the battery life doesn't last long when it is used almost constantly.

I bought this item at Best Buy, Upper Valley Mall location, around Thanksgiving. It was a Christmas present for my granddaughter. When my granddaughter opened it, it didn't work. I returned it to Best Buy and they of course didn't have any more and couldn't tell me when they would have any more. I ended up ordering it off Amazon and had it shipped the next day. We received the one from Amazon and it worked great. My granddaughter loves it.

What's great about it: My kids love it and learned it easily
What's not so great: short battery life and no charger
My daughter just got this for Christmas and loves it. Even though it says 4+ she is 3 and picks up on it. I may go get another for my almost 2 year old, as he loves it too. What I think is riduculous is that the batteries die pretty quickly and there is NO adapter or charger. Really?

Got this for my 3 year old for Christmas and she picks up on it pretty quick. We just played with the display in store. I opened it up just to check it out before i wrapped it.
To my surprise it is NOT RECHARGEABLE and also DOES NOT COME WITH CHARGER!!! What? The charger is also extra and uses regular AA batteries. Who in the world would make a electronic tablet like this and not make it rechargeable? Come on Vtech,go back and redesign it.
