I bought this hard drive to backup my iPod and it's been working very well so far. Fast, quiet, stable. It was very easy to setup. The drive does what it says on the box. And it looks even better in real life than on the photos I've seen. Very sleek and elegant. I would definitely recommend this hard drive.

In the past five years I've been only buying Lacie drives. I work in a design studio, and we've been using lots of them, and never really had any issues. I bought this one for personal use, to carry to carry with me on a daily basis. The drive is very sleek, and durable. It's also fast, easy to install and use.

What's great about it: Bus-powered, compact, easy to use, aluminum casing
I travel a lot and like to take a lot of photos. The problem of where to save the pictures while traveling has always been a challenge. At first, I used to take my notebook with me, but after a while, there was not enough free space left on the internal hard drive. Several months ago, I purchased the Porsche Design. This drive is compact, capacious, very transportable, does not require power cable and the exterior is strong and keeps the data secure while traveling. I'm very pleased with my choice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've been traveling a lot in the past year and have long been looking for an external drive I could carry around and not worry that it may fall apart after a few trips. I needed something compact, bus-powered, solid and with good performance. This drive is a perfect choice for me. It's well protected from mechanical damage and draws power directly from USB ports, the transfer speed is great and the design is excellent. This is exactly what I was looking for and great value for money.
