What's great about it: It's fast and easy
What's not so great: nothing
The hotspot has liberated my from my terrible land line. Living out in the country my options were very limited. It will allow my to travel and still be connected. I should have done this or something like it a long time ago

What's great about it: works better than aircard
What's not so great: clunky to carry around
it is faster than aircard but does not attach to computer so it is one other thing to carry around-- short battery life

What's great about it: Speed and ease of use.
What's not so great: No glitches found in a month of heavy use.
I bought this unit to use with an ultrabook. The tech set it up in the store and I can turn it on and be on the Internet in about 30 seconds, with speeds comparable to my 25 mbs cable modem at home.
I just came back from a week in Matamoras, PA--pretty much the middle of nowhere. I get 4G speed in my living room and also in the hotel. During our week-long stay, I was able to read my home-town newspaper every day, keep up on email, and browse YouTube, all on one charge. This is the best toy and connectivity device I have bought in a long time. The Tech who set it up for me was helpful and very professional. All-in-all a very enjoyable purchasing experience!

The Hotspot works as promised and is easily setup.

What's great about it: My siblings and I now have Internet access at our father's house where there used to be no access at all.
What's not so great: There are some instances of slowness, but not that noticeable.
Overall, this Hotspot enables me to use my laptop wherever I want to without depending on someone else's WiFi. The setup was quick and easy. Because up to five computers can be on it at the same time, my siblings can use their laptops and/or iPads with me at the same time when we are visiting our father's house. He does not have internet access and can't get it where he lives.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Works easily.
What's not so great: Service ... At times.
Simple to use wifi. For the most part works well any where. Easy to check usage status and to keep track of your time.

Not a product if you are using a MAC

What's not so great: The MacBook Pro consumes so much bandwidth that you use more that 5 GB in no time at all.
Due to the MAC constantly updating in the background, I used all of my monthly allotment of 5 GB in about 15 days of usage even when I disconnected the air card. If you have a MAC laptop, this is not the product for you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Size, price, signal strength
What's not so great: AT&T network, battery life
This works really well if you have AT&T service in your area or wherever you are. Other wise this works great and has great speed and signal strength.

Connect almost anywhere, but at a low speed

What's great about it: Can connect almost anywhere
What's not so great: Very slow
This product does do what it advertises, but not at the speed that we are led to believe.
When I hear over and over again it's 4G. 4G speed anywhere!
I guess 4G isn't what I thought it was, I was fooled into thinking this would give me a regular broadband speed away from the house or office.
My iphone plan is 3G and yet it navigates the internet faster without the hotspot then it does with the hotspot.
My laptop, (which is why I bought the device) connection reminds me of the days of 56k dial up while connected.
Both my phone and laptop surf very fast when connected to my office wi-fi.
In summation; will provide connectivity almost anywhere, just make sure you have the time required for pages to load.

What's great about it: Ease of use
I purchased this product after using a Sprint Hot Spot for 2 years. I continually had hot battery problems as well as dropped signals. With the ATT Hotspot, I have not had any of these issues. It has performed well for me.

What's great about it: no xtra wires,has usage display on screen
What's not so great: need velcro to stick it somewhere.
only had it in the truck for a week.it was great.went back to my other 2yr contract,half way through,.i think it was a better device than the mifi

What's great about it: up to 3 devives can connect at a time
I do not have DSL available to me and digital cable is not an option. I like this device because I can use it wherever I have a cellular signal. While traveling I was able to surf the net while a friend was driving.

What's great about it: The speed at which I can connect using Wi-Fi
What's not so great: Battery Life--Must recharge often!
I think the Elevate is a great Wi-Fi connection device, but longer battery life would be great. I love the speed when connecting to different web locations/sites. I am very pleased with the product, overall.

What's great about it: Fast connection
What's not so great: Battery life is too short.
This unit connects at lightning speed without any glitches. My tablet actually stays connected no matter where I move around in my house. Amazing!

The device does pretty good . It seems to run slow at times when two computers are running at the same time. It will host up to five .Just not happy with the monthly fee with slow running network. Computer was purchased same day as device, so I know it is not the computer.

What's great about it: Easy to use, small, reliable, charges quickly
What's not so great: Data Plan is pricey, battery life could be longer
I am delighted with my Elevate! My sister in law has a similar device with Verizon which has been unreliable and constantly loses connection, but my Elevate seems to work beautifully in urban, suburban and - yes - rural settings in travel up and down the east coast. My winter vacation home (no cable internet or wifi service in the house) is in a very poor ( for any and ALL cell carriers) reception area, but this hotspot has now given me three months of reliable and fairly fast internet connection, even with usually only two bars of cell service!! I have found that 5GB is more than ample for my monthly data needs, since I do not do much streaming or gaming, though like others have said, I wish AT&T offered a lower cost or bundling service for this. The device is small, easy to use, has had excellent performance with a Galaxy tablet, a netbook, and an IPOD Touch used simultaneously. I am now back in my primary home in MD so have less need of the device since my home has cable internet and wireless, but it is still a wonderful device to pop in my purse and use on the go. My 50+ year old eyes prefer using a tablet on the go rather than trying to squint at a smartphone, and the Elevate is perfect to insure connection. I do wish the battery had a longer life - seems to max out at just over 4 hours of internet connection - but it charges back up in a reasonable time. I am definitely happy with this Best Buy purchase overall!

What's not so great: Battery dies quickly and is slow to re-charge.
I had no problem setting up the unit and it typically finds 4G immediately.
