What's great about it: Does the job the way it says it does
What's not so great: It's pretty pricey for a vacuum, but wish I had it much sooner
My husband pointed me in the direction of Dyson's products because he had some experience at work with some of their technology in the canning industry. I have never had a great vacuum and hated not being able to really get the hair, dust, dirt, dander, etc. all the way. After using this product for the first time, my light tan carpet was several shades lighter. Not only that, but the floor looks cleaner, longer, because it's a better clean. I also like how easy it is to empty the collection bin. Bagless is the way to go; easy and relatively dust free. This model came with several useful attachments, which have performed as I expected them to, as well. The only down side is the cost. That is the main reason I have put it off so long. I purchased it when it was on sale and Best Buy did a price match from another merchant, to seal the deal.

What's great about it: Deep cleaning
What's not so great: Vacuuming stairs
This vacuum is really great at cleaning flat surfaces. My carpet looks almost brand new after using it, far better than it did after each use of my previous Bissel. The ball technology also makes vacuuming more fun than before. While the attachments are good and lose very little suction power when in use, using them on stairs can be difficult. The wand makes working on stairs a little awkward and the length of the hose was not long enough for my stairs, I therefore have to hold the vacuum with my body, while vacuuming with both hands for the top 5 stairs on each level. I have a very tall house though and this may not be a problem for people with 8 foot ceilings. Very powerful overall and great for everything other than stairs.

What's great about it: Good Suction, Good at getting pet hair up with attachment
What's not so great: Feels cheaply made, not the greatest extension rod, nor the best on hardwood floors.
This Vacuum does have decent suctions but not any better than the $180 Shark I replaced. The whole vacuum seems cheaply made. This would be a great vacuum for the price if it were priced $250-300, but $500.00+ it is not worth at all. I would have to say that I fell for the "Its a Dyson". I would say the best thing about Dyson is its marketing.

What's great about it: Easy to use, light, lots of features.
What's not so great: It seems flimsy
My wife wanted a new vacuum and asked for a Dyson. After a lot of research and trying to swallow the price point I went ahead and purchased it. There are no regrets since the device works as advertised and is very easy to use and maintain. I was concerned with it being a little flimsy, but learned that it's a solid performer.

What's great about it: It works great with a pet that shedds.
What's not so great: The attachment hose is not user friendly
It is great to use since our dog shedds alot. The basket is easy to empty and we are constantly amazed at the amount of dog hair on the floor that it picks up.

This vacuum is great if you have the money for it. Consider other Hepa filter vacuums that maintain high power and are bag less. This one has the high turning radius but is still pricey.

What's great about it: Well designed and works well on all surfaces
What's not so great: This model does not want to stay in storage mode all the time. It easily slips into vac mode.
We seem to get the dirt canister full of dog hair even when we don't think there is much of it around. I really like not buying vacuum bags. The filters clean easily, just make sure you follow the maintenance schedule.

What's not so great: the plastic gets lines that looks like cracks
We have 2 sheddin dogs, and it picks up all their hair very well. the added attachment to clean the couch is nice too. We are so pleased with it, we plan on gettin the attachment for groomin the dogs

What's not so great: Difficult to get to stand in upright position when not in use, until I figured it out.
I shopped and researched vacuum cleaners for some time. I was looking for the best price. Already owned a dyson for over 10 years and was determined to replace mine with a better updated model. This one was perfect for my needs. Hand to replace my other one because the electrical cord was damaged.

What's great about it: Suction on hardwood and carpet. Long cord. Easy to use.
What's not so great: The cord is manual, so no automatic retraction.
I bought this to replace the DC25 that I gave to my son. That was a terrific product, so I thought why not just get another one. I choose this because it was a little larger and had more power. The first time I used it, my wife commented that the oriental rugs looked cleaner, and she didn't know that I had used a new product. The cord is much longer than the last one, so now I can plug it in at one place and vacuum the living room, kitchen, breakfast room, and dining room. I had to plug the old vacuum in each of those rooms. So, it cleans better, is larger, so it cleans a larger area faster, and it has a longer cord that allows me to reach a lot of areas without moving the cord. It is great!

Pricey, but well worth it. Dyson stands by there product. Had defective wand, called company and was sent new one quickly. Could not believe the difference with suction power and how much dog hair was left in my carpet from old vacuum.
