What's great about it: Sound quality, noise-canceling, comfort, battery life
What's not so great: Scratches easily
The sound quality on all levels for all types of music is fantastic.
For me the best feature is that you can still listen to music with them even if the batteries are dead--it's not as loud and the quality is average, but for someone like me who forgets to carry extra batteries, it's great not to be stuck with a pair of headphones you can't use. (The Beats by Dr Dre noise-canceling ones don't work at all if the batteries are dead)
The noise-canceling itself works really well to cancel out droning noises like air conditioners, coffee shop sounds, and airplane/car engine noises. It usually doesn't work on voices--which is negative when you're trying to study next to other people having a conversation, but positive when you can still hear important things like fire alarms or announcements that the library is closing.
They're very comfortable; the leather is super soft. They are pretty bulky, but that's what you're going to get with this type of headphones. There's a button that lights up the logos on the sides, which is pretty cool, but not particularly useful. They're not great for walking around in, because there's a clicking noise like the batteries are moving up and down when you walk, but I don't usually use them when I'm walking around.
My only real complaint is that the zipper on the carrying case scratched part of the black paint off the headband. You would think the case would protect the headphones against scratches instead of causing them.
Overall, great headphones! In my opinion, better than Beats.

What's great about it: clarity, sound quality, style
What's not so great: limited amount of colors - but I love my gold ones!
I've owned several types of high-quality headphones including the Bose noise canceling headphones and a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones and these SG300's blow them out of the water. Incredible definition and articulation across the entire EQ band - not just great low end which seems to have been the trend with some of these other rapper-inspired sets. Two thumbs way up!
