What's great about it: If your subject doesn't move, this camera can capture it.
What's not so great: Inside shots of people are too often blurred.
I bought this camera, and THEN read reviews...my first mistake. Then I took a photography class in hopes of reviewing this camera fairly. Many reviews had been disgusted with indoor-candid-shots-of-family because they were blurred. Alas, I agree. This is a point-and-shoot camera. You should be able to point and shoot. I have tried every setting; I have tried the flash settings. This camera capturing Indoor candid shots just doesn't "cut it". It DOES take macros nicely. At over $250, invest your money elsewhere!!

What's not so great: slow shutter speed, poor macro performance/quality,
Maybe its because i was looking for a good transition camera from point-and-shoot to dSLR, but this camera is definitely not it. The sports mode is relatively slow even at its highest speed, macro doesnt have a manual setting (but my lower level point-and-shoot does?), and its all in all not a very good camera for someone with experience to burn. Pictures are sharp and good quality however, but i would just as soon jump to a full-on dSLR performance-wise. Honestly this camera is rather terrible. My little Nikon s570 point-and-shoot is better. Heck my smartphone camera is better!! If you are serious in any aspect/level of photography at all, do NOT buy this camera.

What's not so great: Takes VERY poor pictures!!
The picture quality is terrible! you need to be completely still. Don't breath or the picture is blurry. My son just had an awards ceremony and I got one good picture out of 50!! Don't waste your money!!!

What's great about it: Low ligth pictures
What's not so great: that it broke
I 've had it for a while now and this is my review :
The good :
Excellent pictures in almost no ligth conditions ! to the point that almost no use of flash is require! its just that great,Ive had other cameras by Canon and none did this good of a job without adjusting any settings!
Movies look really clear I also got the HDMI cable ,but even whitout it it looks realy good#in HD.
The zoom is good,and easy to handle.
The Bad:
Not much to say,the focusing sometimes may not work but it has to do with the type of ligthing ,if you shoot in low ligth it may have a harder time focusing or if shooting a very brigth object such a ligth bulb ,it also "thinks" a bit before focusing .No Sd card included and no HDMI cable.
Update:
My camera broke down ! Whaen I tried to take a picture it shut down by it self every time I tried to take the picture and the focusing frozed while recording a video,so I sent it in for repair at Nikon. i hope to get it back soon, its been 24 days since they got it Im yet to see what happens.#still I would recomend it)
Conclution:
Worth every penny easy to use, easy to download , get them while they last.
