Disappointed - scanning through ADF crooked

What's great about it: Printing is good
What's not so great: Scanning through the ADF is terrible, always crooked
I upgraded from a HP 6500w to this scanner because I wanted duplex scanning. Scans through the ADF are almost always crooked, not just a little crooked either, really crooked. I tested the model in the store before buying and noticed that scans were crooked there but was hoping it was just because the floor model had been used and abused. This was not the case. Other than the crooked scanning the printer seems to work well. One star from a guy who does more scanning than printing.
I took it back to the store. Will stick with my 6500w for now.

What's great about it: FAST printing, great software integration
What's not so great: Replaced after 1st unit had defective ink cartridge
Excellent all-in-one printer for home/office use. Great speed and software functionality, and outstanding ink capacity/cost. However, the first HP I bought had a defective yellow ink cartridge, which prevented the printer from printing unless I opened the access panel twice to coax it to print. The replacement machine has worked flawlessly. The best upgrade choice for any old printer, I highly recommend this HP.

What's great about it: Fast printing, easy set up, great features
What's not so great: Wish it would do large format paper (11x17)
I am probably writing this a tad soon, but I did want to get my review on right away. Got the printer and so far, I LOVE IT. The setup was extremely easy, including the wireless part. The software installation from the cd was really the only slow part. I also had a hard time getting the fax to work, but later found out that was due to my having comcast phone service and I had to hook it up thru the phone modem and then the phone line in the back of the printer. That took me forever to figure out. The speed of the printing is great, the quality is superb, although right now its only been regular text, not pictures. Will give another review when I try out the scanning and printing out of photos.

This is a really great printer so far. I previously owned an HP printer in the past and loved it but I recently had a Lexmark all-in-one that just decided to stop working a year into ownership. This HP all-in-one is a bit pricey but compaired to the price and quality of most printers out their, it's well worth it! I love all of its features and consistency in printing!

What's great about it: Drawer held a lot of paper and it printed very fast and clearly
Fast set up with great instructions enclosed. Great salesperson walked me through anything I needed to be aware of, which wasn't much. The copier worked perfectly as did the fax and scanner. I shouln't have waited so long to replace the previous all-in-one. I am very happy with my selection.

What's great about it: Document feed and duplexing
What's not so great: Photo printing is average.
Duplex printing saves me time and allows me to produce booklets that I have sent out in the past. Document feed has allowed me to quickly and easily feed thousands of pages into the printer to produce PDFs of historical documents. That, in turn, has helped me dramatically reduce file storage.
Everyday printing is fast and of high quality. Photo printing on photo paper does not measure up to a former HP printer that used 5 colors plus black ink, not three.

I work a lot from home and print, scan and copy lots of documents. This printer works great and handles high demand copying well. I've already printed hundreds of pages and haven't changed the print cartridge yet.

What's great about it: Turns on and off quickly. Love touch panel for functions. So much better than my previous HP printer.
Just a great printer and heads above 4 year old HP printer I had that quit printing "black" characters. So easy to set up and faxes quickly. I love touchscreen for functions. Doesn't jam when faxing like last printer. Just a joy to use. Also was on sale so a very good value.

What's great about it: worked great for 4 months
What's not so great: no longer works. period.
This was a great printer for four months. We are not heavy printers, but this is used strictly at a retail store. Two weeks ago had to replace color cartridges. After minimal printing in two weeks, said we had to replace again. Bought new, HP issue cartridges, not refills, put them in and still the error message, you need to replace the cartridges. One hour on the phone w/ HP support (they were very nice) and they said it needed to be replaced. As it is still under warranty they are sending me a "refurbished" unit. The problem is that I can't get it for minimum one week. We can't go a week w/o printer so we have to buy another. Told her of my problems w/ home printer (also an HP) and she suggested I buy the extended warranty. I suggest they make products that work.

First, Oskar our salesman, did a great job of helping us determine the best machine for our needs. Secondly, I really appreciate the ease of it's use. That said, it's appearance is a bit of an eyesore....maybe if it wasn't black? Just doesn't look very tidy on my computer table...but worth it!

I have spent time with HP tech via phone trying to get this All in ne Printer installed with out sucess. HP is now saying that I have a registry problem. call microsoft. boooooo on HP

I spent over 8 hrs on tech support with HP and then asked BBGeek squad for help. They suggested going to a canon printer...HP printers do not work in a network environment with iMacs very well. Just when I thought it was working it crashed again.....

First printer could not set up wifi. After five minutes would lose signal hp support could not fix and had to exchange for new printer. Best buy was very good in the exchange. 2nd printer did the same thing no problem at my end good signal good power hp tried to troubleshoot but the next day the unit would lose signal and lock up!!!! Vprinter quality was very good just wouldn't work! On my own rather than using wifi I plug the printer into Ethernet port and this solve the problem. I now have a wire running from the printer to the router but works good. So much for new technology.

I am so happy with this printer. It replaced two other machines, freeing up much need desk space. It is very fast and I don't notice the noise others have mentioned. I wish the paper tray was in a different place because when I need to turn the printed paper over to copy something on it, I have to push the paper catch tray in. Then I forget to pull it out, letting the newly printer documents fall on the floor. But I love it compared to my old HP all-in-one.
