What's great about it: comfortable, sleek, multi-taskable, detachable mic, and compactable
What's not so great: a little small around the ears and more bass on one side of the headset .
I got this headset for $30 on a deal of the day purchase. the headset seemed good for the money so i gave it a try. the set up was pretty ok, the padding is a nice, slick looking leather which doesnt get as greasy as the turtle beaches and there were more options for volume, chat, and bass. I also liked how the mic was detachable and could go on left or right cup.
Bottom line, GIVE IT A TRY and see what u think.

i took about 30 minutes setting it all up, it comes with a million cables and all this stuff the cable is ridiculously long which can be good and bad i guess. the sound is horrible the bass sucks and it will have a little buzz when chat is turned up and it is very annoying. i would never recommend this ever. I'm going to go return these and buy different ones because these ones suck

What's great about it: great gift for someone you want to make hate you.
I seriously just made an account with Best Buy so I could review this...Worst money spent ever, and I have bought a lot of pointless things in my life. Not only did this headset waste my time by making me look for the AV cables for my ps3 so I could use them it also took an hour or so of fiddling around with the connections and ps3 setting trying to find out why it didn't work. Finally figured id try it on my laptop and main pc and it doesn't work on any of them. I'll connect the USB to my laptop/pc and it cuts off all audio even if the headphone jack isn't connected. All in all....stick with Turtle beach or Sony headsets...there a turtle beach one for maybe 10 dollars more, buy it and save yourself the gas money and frustration of dealing with this. As for you 360 die hard fans before you say it'll work on XBOX, the only reason i didn't try it on my 360, is because I wasn't about to go out and buy the adapter it requires just to see if it would work on 1 of 4 of my gaming devices...

I was looking for a cheaper USB based headset that I could use when recording podcasts. My main goal was something comfortable but I also wanted something versatile so that I could use it with my Playstation 3 and/or Xbox 360.
The output audio from the mic ended up being terrible. I ended up going out and buying a different microphone all together because of it. I tried using it in Ventrillo while playing Star Wars: The Old Republic, and people had a hard time hearing me. Making matters worse, I got no game audio.
So tonight my Turtle Beach X31's decided to kick the bucket and I decided to try these as a backup since it happened after Best Buy was closed and all I wanted them to do was get me through the night and they are terrible. Again, I am getting no in game audio and the people in Live parties are having a hard time hearing me. I am fairly competent with these things and read through the book and know I am doing it right.
They are somewhat comfortable compared to some other headphones, but if I had to do it again (especially since I knew my X31's were due for replacement), I would have gone with something else. $70 is a lot for something this poor in quality. If I paid $25 for these, I'd have no problem with them just being a backup for nights like this, but that's the most I would pay.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Detachable mic that can be used on either side, flip up earcups (DJ style), worked flawlessly with X360.
What's not so great: Compatibility, materials, rattle, feel of earcups
Headsets I've owned: TB PX21, Logitech F540, Tritton GOW3.
Primary use: PC and Xbox 360 gaming
This was the first headset I tried for my gaming needs. My first impressions were: cheap materials, lots of useful features (detachable mic, flip up earcups, many cabling choices). They worked great with the Xbox, but I could not get them setup on my Windows 7 x64 machine and ended up trading them in. My biggest complaint other than compatibility would have to be the way these sat on my head. for some reason they didn't cover my ears all the way. It felt like there was a gap near my ear lobes. Finally, there was a rattle in the left earcup when they got loud.

What's great about it: sounds great, easy to set up, very comfortable, perfect cable length
I use them for gaming (the surround sound is great), chatting on Xbox, listening to music on my phone, iPod, & computer; & watching Netflix. I really love this headset. Came with all of the cables I need.
The Xbox AV cable has a piece of plastic at the end that blocks the HDMI port when it's plugged in. I had to break that off so that I could have my AV cable plugged in & hooked up to my headset, while my TV used the HDMI cable. It's pretty simple to do, I just wedged a small screw driver into a gap in the plastic & with a little effort it popped right off. if you're having trouble with that I suggest looking it up on youtube or google. That's what I did.

What's not so great: After wearing it for about 2 hours your ears might get sore, just take a quick break
I don't ever do reviews for products i buy online, but i just felt like i had to for this one. It's amazing, the sound quality is well worth the price. Although it's a gaming headset, i can use it on my computer, or to just watch T.V! I also like the ability to choose which side the microphone mounts to. I have a PlayStation 3, and the instructions said the i would have to use the standard 3 prong cable to use this, well i found out the it's possible to just plug the headset into the audio out in your T.V and it works like a charm. I love this product, and i would recommend it to anybody who likes serious gaming.

I got this headset cause of the price and a coupon I got through BB. Great headset. The sound is great and you just have to get used to the sound controls at first. The only reason why I didn't give it all 5's (comfort - 4# was that after playing for awhile, the headset can get bothersome on the ears #personal thing for me). Worth the $$$, great sound, mic works great, and alot of cable for sitting at least 8-10ft away from the tv.

Although I missed the Sale of 39.99, I do like the quality and sound of these headsets. I had to replace the standard ones that came with the xbox 360. I wish the Rep at BB would have mentioned these when I purchased the console. I like that I experienced the same sounds as before. I have a pretty legit surround sound system. I lowered the tv sound and heard everything through the headset crystal clear. I just hope they last me a while because Rocket Fish has a rep for their pieces messing up...I should have purchased this sooner.

I got this in place of a turtle beach. they were one of the only headphones that were able to plug in to a surround sound. and work with an HDMI X Box. the only thing I did not like was the plug in was only the small size, would like to see and adapter for the large stereo to come with it but I picked one up for $ 5 to go with it. easy fix. I did have to split the cord some to make it work also. but I use this all the time and cant see playing games with out it.
the microphone picks up you talking easy . the volume controls are a little difficult to get use to but now that I have had it for a while its not that bad.
the only other problem is some time no sound. I keep this hooked up all the time and I get a red light sometimes and I have to re set it. this only takes a 2 seconds

Best headset that I've ever had! Before my PX21 Turtle Beach broke and I bought this, I thought Turtle Beaches are the best,but when I bought this headset i was amazed at how much i got for $40 headset! The Rocket fish headset checked all of my boxes for a worthy headset to keep. Its a great buy, and I think that anyone who is looking for a great gaming headset for a low price, this is one you need to try. And I say you won't regret what this headset has to offer.

This headset by far blows away the p11's especially when the bass comes into play the p11's just don't give the punch that these Rocketfish do. The srs wow sound adds good dimension to the atmosphere of gaming.

What's great about it: -Can be used as regular headphones -Feally really comfortable on your head -Have adjustable volume and bass -universal
What's not so great: -My only con is that there isnt a switch to adjust only the chat instead of the game and chat
These headphones are really great. You can take the mic off and control unit and use them just like regular headphones on your ipod and whatnot. They work very well on both the ps3 and xbox 360.

What's not so great: the mic, although fexible from side to side, does not swivel up or down
I picked up this headset a few days ago for my PS3 ( COD-MW3 & Battlefield 3 ).I have the sony headset and PS3 bluetooth headset as well, I was amazed with the sound quality of this headphone. The bass is loud, the sound is crisp and clear. it comes with the inline volume,bass, and mic control, so u have full control of the sound options. I decided to give it a shot because it was on sale and I'm really happy with the product, that I ended up buying 2 of them.
the installation is a breeze, I actually skipped some of the installation instruction cuz they made it sound more complicated than it is. its a piece of cake, i didn't even need the AV cable from my ps3. If you're using an HDMI cable for the PS3, the manual says u need to use the AV cable that came with your PS3... Wrong!!.. u don't need it. just plug directly to the L & R audio out on the back of your TV and the USB on your PS3 and u should be all set.
this thing is amazing!! it feels light, and the construction seems pretty durable with normal use.
I couldn't help but giggle everytime I play MW3 cuz when the bombs start dropping and everything starts exploding, the headphones start to shake and on my ears from the bass!!.. It's awesome!..
get it while its still on sale!!
this is the best deal for the price!! .
and oh yeah, I also use these headphones to watch blue-ray movies on my PS3!

I bought these headsets when they were at a sale price of 39.99. Which, what got me to buy these since they work for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC/Mac. Right out of the box, the headsets do not feel cheap. Although being a Best Buy brand, I would say these are quite the good investment. Detachable mic is a great feature to add although the mic seems a little stiff. I was able to connect the headset to my PS3 using an HDMI cable and AV splitters and PC with no problems. User manual was informative for all instructions on how to connect to a system respectively. The headsets are also collapsible but if you're going to do so, you have to remove the mic. The bass feature needed some tuning but great sound nonetheless (for it's given price of course, you get what you pay for.)

What's not so great: mic falls out sometimes, itchy after a long gaming session
I love these headphones! I personally game on a PS3 and a Mac, and playing games like call of duty with these give you a huge advantage. I went from getting 20 kills on CoD with turtlebeaches to 40 with these things. The sound quality is fantastic and i love how i can use these on PS3, Mac, PC, XBox, or my iPod.

As a DJ i have a very keen sense for sound. These honestly didnt impress me, they sound good until about half way turned up. Then the sounds get distorted. The bass isn't powerful enough like the turtle beach x12's are. The highs also tend to sound a little muffled. Granted they took some great features into account, such as swappable mic and cross console compatibility, but still. They just arent worth the price. I'm taking them back today to exchange for a pair of turtles beaches. I thought it was a good deal, but i was wrong. Buyer beware, id rather see someone buy something good than know they wasted time and cash on these. Sorry rocketfish, but your brands yet to impress me.
