What's great about it: NOTHING
What's not so great: Buggy software, horrible support, slow, messes up your system
Incredibly buggy.. replaces low level Windows drivers that are almost impossible to fix.. no software support after 30 days without paying.. technical support is horrible.. some problems will not show up until after the 30 day trial period (when it is too late to get a refund or support).
A quick look at the support forums on the Acronis web site will show you all the problems they are having with this product.
Do yourself a favor and pass this one by.. it is not worth the trouble and there are too many better products out there!

What's great about it: Very easy, great instructions.
For the price, this can't be beat. It installed perfectly and made a perfect clone of my old drive to a newer, bigger, faster drive without a hitch. It first went online to check for updates to it's own program, and then went step by step asking me questions as to what I wanted to do, and in about a half an hour, I had a new drive in place of my old drive. My Windows XP did ask me/make me re-register my copy of windows, so make sure you have the product key handy, but that only took about another 10 minutes, and it's been going strong ever since.

I use it daily to backup financial and patient information files. Time for the process to complete is 10 times faster than the program I used previously. Additional files are backed up weekly and more still on a monthly basis. File selection to backup is straightforward.

What's great about it: Could run on 64-bit Windows 7 on new computer.
What's not so great: After install keeps telling me a newer version is available, but when I go to download, it says I have latest version.
Some quirkiness with install, but finally got loaded. Had to buy it because of new computer (64-bit and Windows 7) that Acronis 2010 didn't support. Download of manual, although should've been part of install, didn't seem to be there. This was within a month of first release. Had to go back to the Acronis site on-line and search for it. With Acronis 2010 when I did backup it created a file with an Acronis extension (tib as I recall). My backup of personal data from the C-drive with Acronis 2012 on an external drive resulted in backed up files that looked exactly like original files and file structure. It appears I didn't need Acronis to access the backed up files.

What's great about it: Seems to do what I needed it to do
What's not so great: Tutorials, manuals, interface making features apparant.
Does what it's supposed to do, but instructions are a bit weak, would be more useful with more powerful interface, more accessible to the average user. Much goes unused without being apparant as features that would add value to the end user. I haven't tested the restore feature, which is to me the bread and butter of this product to my mind.
