What's great about it: Easy setup, fast, great range
What's not so great: Nothing so far...
Purchased this router to replace a failing D-Link DIR-655 that was limiting my wireless speeds to 10 Meg here in my home. Was initially going to go with the N750 but decided to go with the N900 instead due to the number of devices that I have in my home. The router was easy to setup and install and so far, it's operating perfectly. Well worth the couple of extra dollars. My wireless speeds are screaming and the 2.4GHZ signal goes much farther than the D-Link even though this router has internal antennas. I haven't tested the 5GHZ band yet. Footprint is much smaller than the D-Link as well due to the vertical stand. Loving it so far! Highly recommended...

What's not so great: Had to return first one since it was DOA out if the box. Returned it and second one installed without any problems.
Works great after I got one without a fried firmware off the shelf.

What's great about it: Fast, easy to setup
What's not so great: Lacks VPN capability
The router works flawlessly and is a great choice for heavy game users or home use however if you plan on utilizing it for business or to access your files from remote locations you would be better to get a router with VPN capabilities and the ability to install DD-WRT technology.

What's great about it: The Range Is Amazing And It Couldn't Be Any Easier To Set Up!
What's not so great: Nothing So Far
I bought this router as a replacement for my recently deceased WNDR3700 which is an outstanding router. I read the reviews and I was very apprehensive as I had read a number of the bad reviews but I trust the Netgear brand so I went for it. Well let me say it is amazing. I had read a number of reviews that stated they had trouble connecting but I had no issues as a matter of fact I was up and connected after literally 30 seconds after powering the router up.
The speed is outstanding. As good as my speeds were with the WNDR3700 the speeds are even better with this router. With the WNDR3700 I got full speed at 5GHZ and a but less than half that at 2.4GHZ but with the WNDR4500 I get full speed at both frequencies. I also get only 1 bar less range difference between the 2 frequencies.
This is an outstanding router.

Returned it, i was having problems syncing it. I could have figured it out but i really shouldn't have to put this much time into it.

This is getting returned tomorrow. Purchased yesterday. Attempted to set up today and could not get it to function. Called tech support and they really were of no help and could not get it to function. Unimpressed.

What's great about it: easy install, consistent performance
What's not so great: range not as extensive as I'd hoped for
Needed to replace a failing router and was told that this Netgear N900 would be noticeably faster and would have much greater range than my older Linksys router. While the range is somewhat larger I still have very low signal strength just outside my house. The speed is about par with what I had before. On the plus side, however, it was very easy to install and has not cut out on me since installation.

I was surfing the web within 10 minutes of opening the box. Easy setup. Much faster than my older Netgear wireless router that is about 5-6 years old. Would highly recommend. Great product.

What's great about it: Really easy to setup
This router was extremely easy to setup. Have had it in use now for about two months, and we've had no issues with dropped signals, streams video and games extremely well . We generally have four or more devices running at one time and there doesn't seen to be a degradation of signal. I'm very pleased with this router and would highly recommend it

What's great about it: Household cloud
Great range for my house size. I can even get full bars in the far part of my backyard. I love the "ReadyShare" usb ports. Every device on the network can hook up to my 2TB external hard drive and printer with the option to access either wherever I am. I'm satisfied.

What's great about it: Easy set up, and easy to connet to
What's not so great: Shiny black surface shows off fingerprints very easily
This new Netgear router was a snap to set up and configure. Everything in my house easily found and connected to the router. My previous router gave me some issues with certain electronics. Its really nice to know that whatever I have, I'll be able to connect to the router in a snap

I had seen mixed reviews on this product, but after lots of research, decided to buy it. Turned out to be a great decision. I am one step above novice with respect to technology. I had this router up and runnning smoothly in 15 minutes. It has run flawlessly since I purchased it 6 weeks ago. No dropped signals, streams video and games extremely well (doesn't stop to reload!). It provides a strong signal throughout the house and can run multiple devices on it. I am very happy with this product and woulod highly recommend it.
