Great modem for AT&T. I first bought Motorola and returned as it would not work! Set this up in 5 minutes and hooked up to Airport Extreme in another 5 minutes. Works great!

What's great about it: Good price
What's not so great: Not compatible with services referenced on packaging
Bought this router to use with AT&T DSL as the packaging and website description both claimed compatibility with AT&T (except U-Verse). Upon attempting to use it with AT&T DSL, discovered it is in fact NOT compatible and had to purchase one directly from AT&T for my DSL to work. Can't share anything on the quality or reliability of the product since I wasn't able to use it.
This product has... no compatibility with at&t dsl

What's great about it: NOTHING!!!!!
What's not so great: TECH SUPPORT COSTS!!!!!!
I bought this router to work with the netgear wireless router that I bought 6 months ago, when I hooked up the dsl router iit didn't work. I called my internet provider and they helped me hook up the dsl router without the wireless router. But when I tried to hook run my wireless router through the new router it wouldn't work at all. I called Netgear and they said that they couldn't help me setup my new router through my wireless NETGEAR router until I paid them a tech to make everything run correctly. I will never buy netgear again and I recommend that no one EVER buys Netgear again, unless you have money to spend on tech support that they should provide for free on THEIR OWN products.

What's great about it: Compact and excellent replacement model
My Centurylink modem went bad after 6 years. They wanted to charge me $4.99 a month to rent a replacement. In 5 years, that modem would cost me $300.00. The modem I purchased for less than $60.00 is capatible with Centurylink and is working just fine and it will pay for itself within a year. Don't let Centurylink take your money for a replacement modem and get the Netgear one from Bestbuy.

What's great about it: Easy setup
What's not so great: none yet
I picked this up yesterday when my 8 month old DLink started acting up and had to reboot it 3 times before I could get back to work. This set-up was very easy and quick and appears to have improved speed. Well worth the 54 bucks with tax. The DLink went in the trash!!! Thanks Netgear. I'm a first time buyer.

What's great about it: Works great, reasonably priced
What's not so great: No phone-out port
I have Qwest/CenturyLink 12MB (ADSL2+) service in my home and replaced my original modem that was beginning to have issues (daily resets necessary) with this NetGear model DM111PSPv2.
Being that I use an AirPort Extreme to serve the WiFi 5GHz network within my home, I didn't need (nor want to pay for) the WiFi option built in to a modem. It was easy to install (be sure to have your DSL login credentials beforehand) and easily connected to my AirPort Extreme. It's been installed for several weeks now and I haven't experienced any issues with it whatsoever. The package came with wall mounts but the unit is small and sits nicely atop the AirPort.
The only thing I would have liked it to include is a port that would allow you to connect a telephone to it.

What's great about it: Easy on the wallet and easy to set up.
What's not so great: Cannot support advanced requirements, such as handling a subnet with multiple public IP addresses.
I purchased this DSL modem/firewall to replace my second 2Wire modem to fail (each one lasted about a year). So far it has been performing flawlessly. I subscribe to AT&T business class DSL and have been assigned 5 static IP addresses. With the old 2Wire modem, the gateway took one of the 6 IP addresses (29 bit subnet) and I had the other 5 to assign to any devices I wanted accessed from the outside (web server, vpn gateway, etc). With the Broadband ADSL2+ Modem, I cannot use my range of static IP addresses. All I can do is identify one internal device as the DMZ device and use the gateway IP address to get to my server. A bit disappointing because I expected more, but again it never claimed to do more than that. I'd recommend this if you're looking to replace an old flaky/failed DSL modem (if your requirements are simple), but if your needs are a bit more complex, such as supporting multiple public IP addresses, you should look elsewhere.

I bought this because my former Qwest DSL modem would quick working at times, especially when a Mac and/or Chrome was being used.
With this new modem, we haven't had to restart it even once. We are happy.

What's great about it: Easy to setup with embedded web page
What's not so great: Setup CD did not detect the modem.
My Speedstream from AT&T died (seems like heat from normal usage was too much for it to handle). Bought the Netgear and installed installed it right away. The CD setup wizard? Skip it. Go right for the embedded web page setup wizard. Auto detected everything. Put in the ISP userid?password and presto----back on the Internet. Already had a Netgear wireless router that worked flawlessly before. Integrates nicely with the modem. And, it's cheaper than other modems!
