What's great about it: Pretty Much ... Everything
What's not so great: It is heavier and bulkier than a regular flat screen. 3D glasses need to buy separately and at $68 per.
Works great. Easy set up. Have Blu-Ray 3D Player, X-Box with Connect, and PS3 with Move all hooked up to it. All work great with great picture quality. The 3D rocks !!! Watch Netflix and Hulu thru the PS3.
Newer model works perfect. Doesn't need converter or emitter for 3D (unless you'll be sitting more than 15 feet away from TV - then you will need a stronger emitter than the one in the TV).
Menus were easy to navigate when I hooked up the game and dvd components. You do have to set the 3D in the menu from off to auto so it will work with each separate component.
We are very happy with this purchase !!! I will gladly replace the projection bulb for $100 once every few years compared to spending 7 - 10 grand for an LED/LCD of equal size and capabilities !!!

What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: After 10 minutes the screen turns bright green and the TV turns itself off. I have had it 2 weeks.
After being on for only 10 -15 minutes, the screen turns either bright green or bright white with black lines running through it, then turns itself off. They system has to be completely turned off at the surge protector, rest and then once you turn it back on, the process repeats itself. I have only had the set in my house for about 2.5 weeks. The Geek Squad is having to come out this forthcoming coming Monday to try and figure out what is wrong. If they cannot, Best Buy can pay for the shipping to take it back.

What's great about it: Clarity of the Picture!!
What's not so great: Need plenty of distance between the you and TV.
I've had this TV for over a year now and I must say, I'm just as satisfied with it today as I was the day I received it. My wife and I are big gamers and this TV provides a gaming experience that is unrivaled. The clarity of the picture for a television of this size is amazing and with our 7.1 surround sound home theater set-up, we are truly immersed in whatever we are doing. The 3D looks better at home than at the theater as well. Although we rarely use the 3D feature, it's still nice to have.
All in all, if you've been contemplating getting this TV, I believe it's well worth the buy, especially on sale.
One thing though...you need a large space for wherever you are planning to put it. You want plenty of distance between you and the TV. If you sit too close, it can be a bit much for your eyes to take. Imagine sitting in the first few rows in a movie theater. Not that extreme, but you get the point.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: 3D movies and picture quality
What's not so great: Every one wants to watch the game at my house. lol
I waited 3 months b4 i wrote a review to make sure i was still impressed with the tv. And i still am. The picture has been brilliant, no problems at all. Its got the 6 color processor just like the LED tv's. 3D movies has been just like the theater. Which i am using the mitsubishi 3D starter kit. The tv does weight about 120LBS which is no big deal for me. The old tube tv's came close to weighing that. Over all my family and I are very very happy with this 82inch monster!
I would recommend this to a friend!
