What's great about it: Touch Screen works very well every time
What's not so great: Needs more volume in highs, lots of wires, Bass Boost should have been limited to just the Subs
First of all, keep in mind that the pictures they use must be simulated. The picture quality of mine is nowhere near what it shows online. DVD's play very dark and it's very hard to make it bright enough to see any detail without making the picture look speckled or splotchy. There are a ton of wires to hook up due to not having a built in pre-amp. You will get a small one that must be hooked up to the radio and then the wires from the pre-amp will go to the speakers in your car. It's only a 2amp so don't expect a ton of highs. I'm not big on highs but even for me it's not enough. The bass sounds very good and there is even an X-tra bass boost in addition to a Loud feature. However, using the bass boost is too much for the front speakers. The bass boost should have been limited to the subs only. Another words the Bass Boost is useless. The only EQ settings are Treble, Bass, and Sub so don't expect a lot there either. The Head unit really sounds good and is very clear when playing a CD or a radio station withe very strong signal. However, when traveling it can be troublesome to keep a good signal on the radio. I've never experienced this problem with any other unit. Overall, it's a very simple setup with a lot of OPTIONAL add ons. If your'e like me and coming off a very good Sony or Pioneer unit don't bother. If you're not use to top quality systems though, you'll probably love it. It's very cool to watch the unit flip out. It operates very smooth and has never had any trouble coming out or going back in. The touch screen also works very, very, very well and always works the first time you touch it. It only takes a light tap on the screen and it takes the command right away. I'm very pleased with that part of the system. I just wish it had a little more volume (especially for the highs) and would have limited the Bass Boost to just the Sub alone. The volume only goes to 42 and I often have to turn it all the way up to jam out and still would like a little more. Overall a very good system if you hook it up properly. I'm very pleased with such a no name brand.
