What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Short cord
Maybe coming from Abel Planet (linx Audio) battery operated external noise canseling headphones is why I am disapointed. I watch other musicians eyes light up when they put them on. The sound does not go so high, has no fidelity, distorts easly this includes bass and 5.1 directional perception is practially non existant. At least I can say one thing nice...They look pretty :-) I bought these because of the need for a mic to play Bf3 with teamspeak. Better off to just use the Abel Planet headphones and a desk mic.

What's great about it: I can wear these comfortably for a long time
What's not so great: No complaints
I wear these a LOT, so I can affirm they are a comfortable fit. The surround sound isn't going to make you pass out from over stimulation, but it is a headset, so keep that in mind. For what they are, the sound is really quite good. The quick disconnect is a nice feature as well. I'd definitely recommend these. One of the things I like is that you can still hear your surroundings, so if you are looking for noise cancelling headsets, this isn't for you. The ambient room noise, the ability to hear the door or phone, is nice when you are using these for an extended time and don't want to completely drop out of the world for hours ;)

What's great about it: Fits great! Sounds Amazing!
What's not so great: The chord is not 6ft (BUT it is plenty long)
If you've owned any of the other turtle beach surround sound headsets you will definitely feel at home with these. The Turtle Beach-Ear Force Z6A Gaming Headset is amazing, from the sound produced to the comfort of the headset.
The sound produced from this headset is amazing. When you put these on, and adjust the volume, start your fav game or music, you will be whisked away into your own world. You will not hear any outside noise, no pc, no tv, no background conversation.. Nothing!!
The comfort factor was also a big deal to me. While trying to decide if I wanted to order these or walk into Bestbuy, and pick one of the Razer headsets off the shelf. The deciding factor came when I purchased the Razer Carcharias. Even on the smallest adjustment the headset was just too darn big. The Razer Megalodon is the same design around the head so that was out for me as well.
The Z6A IS SO Comfortable. and it fit perfectly on the very first adjustment setting.
The Mic is also crystal clear and I use it for Ventrilo and my work from home Cisco Voip software.
For the price, its the first time I've modified my wall for a bracket to hang these bad boys! I can't say enough good things about this.

What's great about it: Quality in the frequency range
What's not so great: Cord between headset and amplifier is VERY short. Can easily damage my ears with these if I am not careful.
Got these setup and hooked up to my Sound Blaster X-fi Fatal1ty card and the first thing I noticed with these compared to my older Turtle beach X-52 headset is the higher clarity it had in audio. The higher treble and the lower bass was night and day between the two head sets. One thing you will have to take note though is that if you have audio going over the DB limit on the sound card it will be very apparent in the set itself so make sure if you have to turn down the master volume in your operating system you do so. Also the "hissing" noise I hear people complaining about on the head set has to do with how high you have the amplifier master volume. If your audio is so low that you have to turn the master on the head set that high up you may want to check out your sound card or built in audio to see if there is something wrong with it. This head set is the best one I have come across in a long time. The real 5.1 is very beneficial and I honestly have to say I think it sounds a lot better than virtual surround because this is real surround not simulated. The cord that goes from the head set and the amplifier could be a bit longer. I feel like if I pull this thing to hard the amp will fly off my desk but that is only a minor thing since I am VERY careful when it comes to my headsets (I have had to glue my X-52 and zip tie it because the durability was not to great but also I did drop them several times...). The durability on this headset is much sturdier than the older X-52 I replaced and it was quite apparent once I picked them out of the box. They are very comfortable and I barely notice that they are on my head so it should not be hard at all to play for hours on end in gaming.

What's great about it: Everything, Set up is easy, Audio Quality is amazing , Mic is clean and crisp , Weight is not heavy
What's not so great: Poor solder job on the mic line going into the amplifier ( Can be easily fixed and is probably only on my headset)
I just picked these up on Sunday 9/25/11 and so far I'm loving them. I can't speak on the durability of the headset right now but they seem very well built and feel sturdy when you hold or move any of the parts such as the ear cups or adjust the length.
As far as sound quality goes these are so amazing for just about anything because there is no preset in the speakers due to having a built in amplifier for the headset. If your playing a shooter your can adjust your bass and surround to fit your needs or if your just chilling out and wanna watch a movie or listen to music you can turn down your surround / center and crank up bass and front for clean crisp music / movie audio.
I've worn Beats by Dr.Dre and I think the audio quality in this headset is better. Due to the headset drawing power from your PC though you cannot go out and listen to music with them on your I-pod but on the other hand they offer some of the best audio quality I've ever listened to from a headset due to them being able to run on a juicier power source.
Only problem I had with the headset so far is a bad solder job going into the in-line amplifier. I don't think all headsets will have this problem but mine sadly did but I'm working on sending them back now. They still work in every aspect though all I have to do is mess with the cord every 2 hours.
The microphone is very clear and crisp from when I've listened to playbacks and talked on Skype with friends.
TL:DR - If you want one of the best headsets on the market I think personally then you'll wanna throw down the $100 for this bad boy because it delivers in all aspects of what it was built for especially audio quality for games but to surprise the audio quality for music is bar none too.

What's great about it: Sound, Comfort and extended amout of wear while gaming!
What's not so great: Not USB which requires all the 3.5mm jacks to get the HD sound, requires USB port to power the headset,
I just received these in the mail a few days ago so have not had much time to give a really good review but from what I have discovered so far, they are an amazing headset. The sound quality is very good. All 8 speakers put out some amazing sound and the base is very deep and clear. The ear cups are deep and provide a lot of comfort while gaming.
When I first plugged them into my computer and tried to use the mic, I got a lot of feedback and I thought they were broke. But with the last mic I had I had to use the Mic boost. With these headphones I do not and after disabling the Mic boost, it works great and don't need the mic up close to my face for others to hear me.
I'm continuing to have a problem with some crackling and popping noises in the headphones but this is not from the headset. I use the on board audio ports and this causes interference from the motherboard. I will be buying a separate PCI soundcard to use with the headset to alleviate this problem.
I also noticed the mic is a bit hard to keep in once place. It will not just stay in the position you put it. You have to really manipulate it to get it to stay were you want it.
Overall they are an amazing headset and know I will enjoy them a lot while gaming on my PC. I cant wait to get the connector to use them with my Xbox!
