Really enjoyed the simple and easy setup. I've been using computers since the days of the first 286 machines and have had most everything inbetween since. This is the first right out the box computer that I wouldn't want to change any thing about. Just love it!The fact that I could set the monitor right in front of me on the desktop is great.I am getting used the the capabilties of the multi-touch screen and it is great.Highly recommend this to any one at any level of use!

What's great about it: Small space requirement, touch screen, quick

We've owned this computer for several months. So far, flawless. This computer replaced an old desktop that had a dead hard drive, dying fan, running Windows XP. Even after reloading the factory image, the old machine was too slow and unreliable. When the old hard drive died, it was time for a new machine. My daughter(11 years old) and I were impressed by this machine a couple weeks prior to needing it. Unlike previous touch screens I've used, this one was accurate and easy to use. Normally I get desktop computers with a big box and seperate monitor, but we needed a smaller footprint for the kids' desk in the kitchen. Windows 7 quickly let me set up a wireless home network - the kids can now print without transfering their projects to the office computer. We can stream music from the office computer to the kitchen.
The speakers and audio system are okay. Nice that I don't need to take up desk space with seperate speakers, but the sound is not as good as seperates.
It has a large power brick. The directions are not clear on the wi-fi dongle. The directions indicate you need to install it, but it is already in place behind an access panel on the back of the monitor. Lots of confusion there when my wife tried to set it up.

What's great about it: ease of setup
What's not so great: Could use better how to regarding the touch screen
It was easy to set up and to start to use. It took me longer to unhook and untangle my old setup than to hook up and use the new one.

What's great about it: It is more compact the the normal desktop. It remind me of my IMAC that doesn't the tower in the way
What's not so great: HP load too much of theeir junk on it. I jet tired of so many pop-up messages
It is doing the job I expected of it and would like it even more without so much of HP loaded programs in it. I do not like hidden advertising be built into the computer.

I would not change a thing about this computer. Even my grandchildren can use it, grandchildren love this it is easy for thier little hands. They dont have to try to use the mouse they can just touch the screen.

What's great about it: Love the all-in-one. Love the wireless keyboard and mouse. Love the "no wire mess".
What's not so great: Can't find anything that's not great about it.
Totally impressed with everything about this computer. I didn't think I'd have any use for the touch screen functions. I was wrong. The Magic Canvas is amazing and addictive. The Beats Audio is awesome, too.

I'd been using only laptops for the past few years, but finally decided I needed a bigger screen. An all-in-one PC seemed to be a good solution for me since I needed to keep my limited desk space uncluttered.
Before I got this HP all-in-one, I bought a 21.5 inch Lenovo all-in-one. The Lenovo was pretty much DOA, and part of the problem(s) seemed to be really bad hardware design and quality. It worked intermittently for a couple of days (in between repeated crashes, after which it often refused to turn on again for hours and hours) before I brought it back to Best Buy and exchanged it for this HP TouchSmart. What a HUGE difference! This HP all-in-one seems so much sturdier and much more well-designed. I've had it for a couple of weeks now without any problems other than the fact that the driver for the Beats control panel appeared to be missing. However, HP support promptly fixed that remotely. Competent and hassle-free (unlike Lenovo's "support").
I use this PC primarily for business, and I doubt I will use the touch screen features terribly often. But I have tried them out a bit, and they do work.
One thing that was very important to me is that the PC would have good sound, even without headphones on, and it does. The Beats audio is great.
So far, so good. I have no reason to think I will ever be unhappy with this PC.

What's not so great: My 2006 iMac still outperforms it.
I'm jaded. I'm a mac guy. I bought this for my girlfriend because she needed a new PC. It's looks nice, but for being a newer machine with a better processor and more RAM than my 2006 iMac - well - my iMac still outperforms it in terms of speed.
It's an ok machine. Gets the job done and has some nice fluff like the touch screen option and beats audio. Otherwise, I already know that my next computer will be a new iMac.

What's not so great: Need user manual more than just an online brochure
This has been a very good computer so far with only one problem and I think it was me~ not the computer. Did have some difficulty with the internet connection. I could get on no problem, but then periodically it would shut down without warning~ and always in the middle of an email of course! Think I got this fixed with a new cable.
Other than that, everything has been great. Love the touchscreen although I don't use it much.
Set up was WAY more than easy, except some difficulty with the cable moden~ once again my fault.
Would have liked a user manual with it, since I am still having trouble finding out how to use all the great features of the computer. I am the kind of person who likes to be shown how to use something, without having to go to different sites for user manuals.
Other than that, everything has been great. Love the touchscreen although I don't use it much.

What's not so great: vibration is worrisome
Everything seems fine and I'm learning the touchscreen thing. But the fan motor is vibrating and seems unhappy being in the "up" position. rotating the screen back makes the clicking worse.

What's great about it: Touch screen, easy set up
What's not so great: Two computers have now died on me completely with no hope of repair.
Purchased the first one about a month ago. It lasted two days, then the fan kicked in to overdrive on day and shut down the computer and it wouldn't even turn on after that. Took it in and had it replaced with a new one. Have had it for about three weeks now.
Yesterday, the screen went dark and the fan started going in to overdrive again. I've shut it off and tried turning it back on three times now. The fan still runs, but the computer is dead. I am so irritated at this moment, I can't even tell you. I haven't used the thing more than a total of maybe 3-4 hours. I left it on, but it goes in to sleep mode when not in use so I can't imagine that's doing anything bad to it.
So now I have to bring the thing back into Best Buy and frankly, at this point I will probably just have to fork over more money for a different brand name computer because this is just ridiculous. Grrrrr....
As a side note: When it was running, I LOVED IT.
