What's great about it: I just plugged it in and Mac did the rest.
What's not so great: no negatives at all
I bought it to be my MAC compatible backup drive for my Mac Book Air and be the target for Time Machine. Couldn't ask for a simpler install and backup setup with this Mac compatible external drive.

I bought this drive for a MacBook Pro to use with Time Machine to perform automatic backups. It was pre formatted for the Mac saving me time. It was $10 more in the MAC pre format version but that saved me time and hassle. Silver color matches Mac ascetics. Worked straight out of box with no input from me. Great Product.

What's great about it: Appearance and size
What's not so great: Directions and not doing what the instructions showed
Using the backup to my computer looked simple enough. However, the first time I plugged in my Time Machine came up and I had no idea or familiarity with it. So, I unplugged it. I tried again later and it started automatically downloading everything on my computer (apparently). That is okay excepty I don't need everything saved. I thought I could drag files and programs into an save window (like the simple instructions showed). I hope I have saved everything. In other words this external drive did not perform like I thought it would. So, overall this product did not meet my expectations.
