What's great about it: Easy to use and performs well
What's not so great: Has some short comings with some movies, but looks to be a work around.
I have been using 123 Copy DVD Gold to back up movies to a hard drive and the interface is intelligent with good options. There are UTube videos that walk you through some of the functionality of the software, which is handy. Additional settings are conveniently located to make adjustments to capture settings.
I was concerned with the additional software that 123 Copy DVD Gold wants to install, as they looked like adware, but turn out to be required software (this info could be presented more clearly).
The only issues I've run into are that some movies won't download correctly. I have researched this issue and there are additional steps required to resolve this issue, but I have not taken the time to look into this, further (as 8 out of 10 times the DVD's are downloading correctly and I have a huge stack of DVD's to go through).
I was hoping to be able to backup digital copies of movies that come with Blueray discs, but this software doesn't even detect those discs. Not sure what the work around is with that.
In the future, I will upgrade to a computer with a Blurray burner and obtain copies with a Platinum version of 123 Copy DVD.
Overall, I am happy with the software as it performs as promised.

Does exactly what I wanted it to do. It allows me to convert my DVD's to digital to play on my android device.

This software is great for anyone wanting to convert your dvd collection into digital files. It has a wide variety of formats to make your digital files compatible with nearly any device. At first I was having a hard time getting Disney dvd's to convert- but the customer support was able to help me out with that. Customer support has been awesome, product has been great, so far I have ripped over 150 dvd's and counting. Would definately recommend this.

What's great about it: Easy to use and set-up
What's not so great: very expensive
Even though it will not copy Blue-Ray, it's a great way to archive your DVD collection on your computer. If you have a HDMI connection on your computer, you can hook up a 1 TB drive and use it as a "movie server".
The company that makes http://www.123copydvd.com/ the software does allow a 7 day try out so you can find out if it works with you computer system.
I do recommend two free downloads to ensure a great experience.
1. Windows Encoder 9 Series, free from Microsoft.
2. Avisynth which is also free.

I have really been surprised at the speed of copying. One click and you are good to go.
As a sidebar, customer service is by email, but they are very friendly and get you the answers you need with no problems.

Several good points to this software: Easy to use (once you install) and good purposes. I got it primarily to back up my home videos and was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was to use. However, here are some not so great points: Slightly confusing during the installation process. I am not super tech savvy and was stumped at one point. Oh yeah, good point, decent customer support. I managed to get a rep to help me solve my issue, and once I got it installed, I had no probs using. It's a bit more than I would like to spend but then again software ain't cheap anymore.
I would recommend this to a friend!

works well, fairly easy to use. I got it mainly to back up my movie collection as I have recently lost a lot of material due to flooding. Cheaper to do it this way then to replace everything I have. Recommednde.
