What's not so great: kinda expensive
Real great lens. Superb quality. I've been real careful with it so I'm not sure of the durability but no damage so far. It was a tad bit pricey, but the quality lives up to it.

What's great about it: Great quality and easy to use
This is the first time I ever bought a lens to go with a camera and I think it was well worth it. We knew that we would be taking some distance action shots and they came out fantastic.

What's great about it: The size & weight for my small hands.
What's not so great: I don't have the knowledge of the technical side I need yet.
Although, I'm still learning the camera & lenses...it seems like a great camera. It takes awesome pictures. And, I'm sure that once I learn more about it...Its going to be my favorite investment.

What's not so great: The strange manual/automatic divide.
The lens has fantastic image quality for something so small. The only strange thing is that it needs to manually be zoomed in or out before the auto zoom engages. It took me 3 days to realize this as it isn't mentioned in the directions.

What's great about it: Great value and easy to set up
What's not so great: The color is not compatable with NEX 7 which is black
The 55-210mm Zoom Lens adds greatly to the already exceptional capabilities of my NEX-7 camera. Besides, it is not too expensive as compared with its great value. The only thing which is not so good about the lens is that it does not well match NEX-7 camera in terms of color. It will be great if the lens will come in more colors in the future.

What's great about it: how close you can get to the object you are trying to shoot
What's not so great: I wish it had a power zoom like on the stock lenses the comes with the camera
It is great for getting close to your target, but it does not have a power option so you have to turn the actual lenses like a traditional SLR.

I purchased this along with my Sony alpha Nex 6. It's great. Zooms perfectly almost kind of scary to say its for a compact camera.

What's great about it: Adds range in addition to the lens included with camera
What's not so great: A bit bulky but so are comparable lenses for any other camera
Great for getting detail in architecture took great photos on my vacation to Paris. It was a no brainer for the cost in the bundle package that Best Buy often offers with DSLRs. I believe I saved nearly $150 on the lens and much cheaper than buying the one lens that replaces the freebee that comes with the camera and this one being reviewed.

What's great about it: Integrated system with mutiple lenses and healer than an SLR
What's not so great: 200mm zoom has fuzzy pictures! Hard to aim without a viewfinder.
Good battery. Fast shudder speed. Accurate focus. Poor stability. Poor zoom clarity.

What's great about it: Great optics, compact, light, easy to use, built in stabilization
What's not so great: expensive, high maximum aperture
This is a great addition for someone who has a NEX camera with the 18-55 mm kit lens. It is small and light enough to be used single handed with the camera if necessary. Images are incredibly sharp, even indoors, low light without flash. Maximum aperture at extreme telephoto range is very high which limits depth of field control. Best use would be sports, action, nature photography in daylight conditions. Built-in stabilization and high effective ASA allows great photos even at maximum telephoto range since any lens movement is magnified. Construction appears to be mainly plastic, but that probably helps keep it light. Lens is expensive compared to other brands, but works extremely well with the NEX cameras.
