Very good TV. No issues. Easy setup. We use mostly as a monitor for watching streaming video. When good quality feed, then excellent picture.

What's great about it: The size, easy to set up, and views nicely.
What's not so great: The price and the internet apps.
I think overall this is a great TV. The price is a high, but what would you expect from a TV this big. It views very nicely. One of the drawbacks was the smart tv functions. It doesn't have HULU and you can't download new apps. I would think the smart function would be a lot better. If you are looking for a TV with better smart options I would go with Samsung. Other than that I think it is a decent TV.

What's not so great: Anything other than dynamic picture mode
Great TV for media room or man-cave but I would not recommend it be used as the primary household TV. I would spend the extra $1K to get the 240hz version. I have to keep it in dynamic picture mode because of the faint color balance.

What's great about it: Size and picture quality - makes you fell like you are at the games
What's not so great: I have it on the wall with a tilt mount and did not purchase the swivel mount - I think I will purchase it later.
I love it!!!! I thought it would be too big for the family room, but it is not, they recommended that you have at least 10' distance from the tv to the couch and we have 14' and it is just perfect.

What's not so great: hertz needs to be imprved
this tv is great for the size and quality of picture but if you are used to a plasma, it takes some getting used to the decrease in hertz that shows more movement and appears as if you are watching a fake show. once you get used to it, it's worth it in the end.

Great TV, wonderful picture and colors. But it didn't come that way out of the box. Need to adjust settings manually to acheive best results. There are several good setting recomendations on the internet if you google it. Glad I didn't pay extra to get the 240HZ version, because I actually had to turn that feature off to get a good picture. Otherwise movies, even Blu-rays, look like home made videos. Once set though, WOW, what a nice picture.

We couldn't be happier with this set. The image is gorgeous and the features are plentiful and easy to navigate. Also very happy with the Geek Squad installers who had the thing in place in under 2 hours on a swiveling wall mount. We aren't using the internal speakers, as we have a home theater surround system, but I did listen to it once or twice and the sound is certainly fair to good for monitor speakers. The wall mount gives us the option of angling the set more towards the dining room or the living room and the set moves easily yet feels substantial enough to be comfortable with moving it.

What's great about it: The high def picture, especially on bluray.
What's not so great: Can't really think of anything.
I received this bad boy this morning. It was delivered by 2 very nice, professional gentlemen.
The picture quality through my dvr is great, but it is wonderful when watching blurays like Skyfall, which made the picture look immaculate.
I have another 60" Sharp and it has been great as well going on 3 years, even though it's an LCD.
Your seating position should be about 10-12 feet away from the screen and you will be fine! The TV speakers are in the back and aren't so great, but most people have it hooked up to a sound bar/surround sound.
Movie nights will never be the same again. I mostly wait for films to be released on dvd and don't really frequent cinemas that much anymore.
I haven't connected it to the internet yet but that's next on the list. Will keep you posted! All in all, a very happy customer! Thank you very much!

What's great about it: Size (obviously), uniform picture quality, value
What's not so great: Requires settings changes for sports
What a great experience to own this TV. When we bought it we thought it would be too big. We were wrong, it just makes everything more fun to watch. Picture quality is very good considering the size. Note the I do not use the internal speakers or internet features.
Only challenge is changing the settings to remove trailing during sports and other things that move quickly. The default settings will have some trailing effects where a baseball doesn't move smoothly. Setting changes do fix that.
Recommended TV.

The Sharp Aquos 80" is every bit as good as the Sony Bravia 52" that it replaced. Pleased that no picture quality was lost when the size increased. Love it!
