What's great about it: just good sound quality
What's not so great: short battery life (just 2 hours),too slow
I never will recomend it to a friend,it is too slow and you will have lots of problem with it,and also it has very short battery life,you can use the battery just for 2 hours.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Ready to go, but good for everyday.
What's not so great: enet connector a little difficult
Bought this for mobile needs that required full Windows 7 capability. After using it, I got a 4 port USB, added a keyboard and mouse and connected a 20" monitor. I got rid of my old desktop. The dm does all the desktop did and in most cases is faster than the XP desktop. Best thing , all my info is current. I don't have to sync files, I can quickly unhook and take it with me, even works good in the car.
I'm not a heavy graphics user, mostly internet and crunching numbers, but the dm-1 gives good performance. It may be a bit heavier than a netbook but it does a lot more. My smart phone feels like a brick compared to older phones. I can connect the dm-1 and have internet access anywhere.
And I don't have to update or sync anything.
The dm-1 is easy to set up but I wouldn't call it lighting fast. Course we wanted to use the Cray for an email server.

Sleek. Its a lil heavy for its size tho but other than that, its pretty good.

It is a excelent laptop, primary use is for travel.
