its just a headphone adapter and the app sucks as well. your guitar must be tuned exactly or the app wont work at all. I mean exactly, and on both of my guitars I cannot get the low E tuned good enough for the app. SUCKS

What's great about it: Nothing

I bought it at the store, the box clearly said it was compatible with Ipod Touch, Iphone 4 and Ipad, when i plug it into my Ipod touch it made a lot of noise using the AmpliTube app (witch it says it supports), after that, i went to the Apple store and their app, the Miso Music Plectrum app was nowhere to be found, it is not in itunes, after trying other apps, i came to the best buy page for the this thing and it says it only supports Ipad and Ipad 2 WTF??? So the box is misleading, and the product does not work with ipod and iphones, so i went to their site and found a troubleshooter that said that if their product does not work, it's probably the software! What a terrible product! Stay away from it!

What's not so great: Terrible sound quality
This interface is absurdly noisy, and the input sound is distorted even with the input gain way down and fairly low output guitar pickups. Maybe Ijust got a defective one, but I can't imagine anyone being able to make use of this device. I'm going to go for an interface that uses the dock connector.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: eveything
I was looking or a way to connect these great beat app from freedrumapps.com, saw this product at best buy, i wasn't expecting much for the price but i was absolutely amazed at how good it sounded.
I would recommend this to a friend!
