What's great about it: So small you can leave it permanently installed
What's not so great: So slow to load-up (write) you'll walk away
Bought these as a portable music solution and it really fits the bill for that! I use these in my car stereo and on the front of my home stereo. I was using micro sd cards with a small reader, but these SanDisks are even smaller and solid state, so I don't have to worry about bumping them and damaging the USB ports. Great capacity for the price, especially if you catch them on sale. It does take a long time to load them up. I was used dragging and dropping onto the faster SD cards. But once they're loaded, they read well and they're super convenient. I'm going to get another for my Toshiba Thive tablet. I hope SanDisks ups the write speeds with an ultra version.
(tip: I loaded one exclusively with holiday music, so I don't have to merge my Xmas stuff with my main iTunes library)

What's not so great: Fragile
After only a couple of uses the case separated from the unit. The factory bends are insufficient to keep the unit together when being pulled from a standard USB slot. I was able to reassemble it and it still functions.

Large storage device without getting in the way... Doesn't stick out far in my car stereo, so I don't have to worry about it getting hit and damaging my stereo... Can keep it plugged in my laptop when I put it in my bag... Great product!!!

The pictures don't even give a clue as to how small this thing is. It's perfect if you need to leave the drive plugged into your device all the time - it barely sticks out 1/8 of an inch so you don't snag on it all the time.
I have big hands so I thought it might be difficlut to remove but the end has a little ridge on it that makes it easy to pull out of the USB port.

This is a very cool 8gb usb drive. Almost everyone likes it when they see it....they just utter one word... 'wow'.
I use it in my car with my mp3 FM transmitter and it looks very hightec.

Much faster than any other thumb drive I've used small size is perfect as it does not stick out from computer where it could be bumped. Could haav a slightly larger grip to pull from USB slot. That would be helpful for those of us with large fingers.

I'm guessing there was a different picture on the BB site at some time, because the current photo of the drive - no bigger than a typical Bluetooth trasceiver or wireless mouse dongle - is correct. This is one TINY drive, and to think there is a 16GB version! I will admit to having sent it through the laundry at least once because it really can get lost in your pocket. And, though the black plastic end is somewhat contoured, it is still difficult to get a grip on it in certain situations, like when the USB port is tight from non-use, or recessed into the front bezel of the computer case.There is a tiny lanyard ring on the drive, but I'm not sure how trustworthy it is, and besides, SanDisk doesn't include a lanyard for the drive in the packaging.
Still, I use this in my everyday work to carry WinXP SP3, Win7 SP1 (both x86 and x64), two flavors of Office 2010, and a slew of other utilities. The capacity is great and you can't beat the portability. And I got it while it was on sale for $9.99, so it was a steal.

While this works well, the online photo suggested this was it full size flash drive. I purchased 2 of these for my in-laws who cannot use them at all due to the size. Be aware before purchasing

Photo of product on Best Buy website is incorrect - actual product is about the size of a nickel, including the USB 'plug.'. Hardly sticks out beyond USB port. Great for laptop.
