What's great about it: Best features and functionality for the price!
What's not so great: No SD or USB card slot.
I've spent months looking for a Roku-like option for my bedroom television. Roku's lack of a YouTube channel was a major turn-off as I subscribe to lots of YouTube broadcasts that I like to watch on playlists. I have several devices that will stream YouTube to my living room television: PS3, Wii, LG Smart Blu-Ray Player, iPad, etc. and out of all of them, the LG Player transcoded/upscaled the YouTube video/audio stream the best for television. I was very pleased to find that the NeoTV box has a very similar YouTube player application.
All my YouTube love aside, the Netflix interface is excellent and allows for searching on the device (my LG Smart Blu-Ray player still hasn't received that feature yet) it hit maximum broadcast resolution (720p for Netflix, but some things on the device will broadcast at 1080p) quickly on streams and didn't rebuffer during any test plays that I had. The other "channels" available on the player (Hulu Plus, Vudu, Revision 3, Pandora, Twitter, etc.) all worked find during my tests, and the ability to add/remove channels to the main page was really nice.
I downloaded the iOS remote control app and after getting it to recognize the IP address of the device (had to do it manually) it worked as it was supposed to, but the remote control that came with the device worked well enough that I don't see myself using the iOS controller very often. (Though it would be cool to use this as an entire house connected Pandora player controllable via iPad/iPhone from ANYWHERE in the house! Maybe in the future I'll use it for something like that if I ever replace it in the bedroom with something different.)
Overall I'm very very impressed with everything that this device offers for the price. I REALLY didn't want to spend more than $50, and I probably would have gotten a Roku if they had YouTube.
If I have one tiny gripe it's that it claimed that it "timed out" on its initial network setup internet connection test several times even though after skipping that message it turns out that it was actually connected to the internet perfectly.
I suspect that it did that because it needed to download its software/firmware update from Netgear.
Once I did that I haven't encountered any internet connection issues with it! If you're like me and are looking for something inexpensive that will do : Netflix, Hulu Plus, YouTube, and have a handful of other web-stream channels, (it even has some basic java/flash type games; Blackjack, Connect 4, Texas Holdem, Minesweeper, etc.) this is the device for you. It's pretty idiot proof.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Alot of things
I bought this NeoTv at the Best Buy in Temecula, California. We paid the 50 dollars for it and I brought it home and put this into our spare room where we have an elliptical. It set up real easy, and for the first week....it worked fine (we used it once or twice in the first week). I came in to use in to use it the 2nd week and the Remote wouldn't work anymore. So, I figured that maybe a button got pressed and jammed and killed the batteries. So I bought new batteries and replaced the old ones. Still didn't work. I am an Electronics Technician so this stuff comes easily to me....so I finally called "Tech Support". I was greeted by a person who had a very heavy accent. It was extremely hard to understand him. I told him the unit WAS WORKING for a week. He proceeded to tell me that I needed to remove the plastic piece that guards the batteries from the remote during shipping. I REMINDED him twice that it was working for a week...so I must have already removed the plastic piece. He insisted that I remove the Plastic Piece again. I reminded him AGAIN that it had been removed....he said to bring it back to Best Buy as there is nothing he can do. Great Tech Support, I must say....
We brought it back to Best Buy (3 weeks after purchase) and we were told that they couldn't take it back. I said....it worked for a week and then stopped. We were again told that there was nothing they could do. Great Customer Service....So Basically we paid 50 bucks for a product that worked for a week, stopped....and got junk "tech support" and additude from a Best Buy employee. This is probably some of the reason why Best Buy will be the new Circuit City in a year or so.

What's great about it: Cheaper than others, many 'channels',
What's not so great: Slow, Doesn't power off with remote, no physical buttons, faulty
I bought one for my mom and my sister bought one for herself, my sister's was dead when she opened it, and my mom's has vertical lines showing up and sometimes it's hard to get a signal, also this device lacks subtitles, or captions. I also have problems with it connecting to wifi. Overall, I would say it'd be better to go with the Roku.

What's great about it: Ease of set up, smooth streaming of Netflix, good value for the price
I have purchased three of these units from Best Buy, and they all work flawlessly, at least for Netflix (the only service I use them for so far). The setup was very simple - just follow the onscreen prompts - the units even searched for and updated their firmware with only minor user input. Granted, I am an IT professional, but the layout was very intuitive. I have two of the units connected to my wired network, and one of them is connected via wireless to an access point. The only trouble I ran into with the wireless connection was my fault - I entered the wrong password. I use all of them primarily to stream Netflix, and it works extremely well, with no stutter or hiccups at all - we have Roadrunner cable modem service with Time Warner, and the streaming is very smooth. The remotes work well, and the units pick up button presses without hesitation; there's even a remote app for Android that provides a keyboard for faster searching of Netflix titles, and it works flawlessly, too. For the low price, I have not found any minuses; this unit is superb!

Video Review:

What's great about it: Easy to set up and use. Offers a wide variety of channels and sites. And the the price just can't be beat!
What's not so great: Youtube, Facebook etc. are fine to look at and play videos, but the programing should be done on your computer.
Overall I love it. Best money I ever spent for home entertainment. Directv tried to sell me a 300.00 DVR saying that was the only way I could get Netflicks etc. on my TV! To Them I say: Please cancel my Subscription Movie Channels please! The 1 thing you need to know is that to activate any of the sites you need to be logged on with your home computer at the same time. One time only. Other than that I can only say good things so far!

My wife and I love this product. We were using our Wii for the same thing but this runs so much smoother that you forget you are streaming over the internet. So easy to set up and run that it seems like a dream. I would recommend this to any one and in fact I have recommended it to several people.

What's great about it: Good price, good quality
What's not so great: My hulu is not working properly
I had a Roku player but didn't need all the features it came with because I only need it for Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Vudu so I took it back to the store and purchased this one. It seems very good quality for the price and can compare to the Roku.....but my Hulu is not working like it does on the Roku, I cannot watch anything it is not showing my lists or anything. Going back to the Roku.

What's great about it: Lots of apps so you'll never get bored
What's not so great: Does not support DLNA which means you can not stream your personal home media collection.
Great HD color and clear programming; however, the inconsiderate corporate & tech people at Netgear intentionally developed this modeled without the ability to stream your home media collection through the DLNA program. This means that even though the NeoTV 200 is only $49.99, it is not worth the price because Netgear refused to include the DLNA compatibility program on the unit ; however, included it on a much higher priced model. This goes to show that Netgear has no real concerns about the what the average consumer needs developed within their products. I purchased a Sony Media Player for $69.99 and I'm satisfied.

What's great about it: Cheap and plays everything you would ever want, AWESOME remote control iPhone app.
What's not so great: All the waiting between button presses, need to figure out something about typing as well and create a native iPad app
All in all this is a great player. Just plug it in and connect your accounts. I use it seamlessly with Netflix and Hulu Plus. Vudu also works as does Flingo - although I always had speed issues with Flingo (videos pausing etc).

I love our Neo. We got it for Netflix--don't have a game system to stream it through--but the Pandora is used almost daily while I clean or we eat dinner or entertain. My teenaged son plugged it in of me and didn't have any issues. Totally love this device and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

It worked great until one day I turned it on to watch something on Netflix and there was no picture on the tv. Thought maybe it was my tv so tried connecting it to another tv, same thing. Brought it back to store & exchanged it. Everything great for about 3 weeks, then same thing happened. Searched online for some sort of support, found nothing! Exchanged it again. Everything was great for 2 weeks, last night, same thing happened!! I'm tired of having to exchange it over & over so now I'm going to exchange it for something better! Blue light comes on. Just can't get picture...

What's great about it: Vudu, Hulu Plus, Ethernet, Netflix, YouTube, HD 1080p
I actually picked up multiple of these units and now have one each room of the house. It has turned all of my TV's into smart TV's. The unit streams all of my VUDU, HULU and Netflix videos. At this price it is a steal. No issues whatsoever, I am already streaming hours and hours of Netflix and Vudu movies without any hic-ups. My one year old Roku player keeps choking on most of the Netflix movies. The best part is the NeoTV allows me to connect via Ethernet as well.
