Best Acer Ultralight laptop that Apple Macbook Air

What's great about it: So Easy to set up and best price for my money
What's not so great: Fine battery life and no complain
After trying out two Apple Macbook air that gives me problems by turning it on and doesn't contract my internet. It has been frozen by not moving with touch pad and click it went dead like a dead wood. I got tried setting it back twice and did exchange it for another Apple. Was set up by the Bestbuy staff and got home it went same old thing over again. I got refund and brought a Newer Acer 13.3 S3 Ultralight laptop.
I test this Acer and found to be the best than Apple. My Acer was set up correct by Bestbuy Staff was in perfect working order fast as a lighting when you turn it on. It has Wi-Fi speed up where you wanted it. I came home by couple hours later, I turn on my new Acer and came on the window by 2 seconds every time when I turn it on. I enjoy sending my email to my daughter and nieces in Germany that given me no problems. I love this Acer very much not given me any trouble and went very smoothly very time for the last 4 weeks.
Get this Acer S3 Ultralight laptop and you will love it better than Apple Macbook air. It is lighter and easy to carry only weights less than 3lbs.

What's great about it: Set up was a breeze, price was just right for what I wanted
What's not so great: Touchpad is different with no separate right and left mouse buttons, bloatware
I got $200 in gift cards thanks to Club Carlson, a points program that rewards you every time you stay at one of their hotels so I decided to get a nicer laptop for work. I travel for work onboard Amtr@k trains, and I like to do my paperwork in a spreadsheet program instead of hand-calculating everything at the end of the night. In a nutshell, I bought a 17 inch Alienware for home-use, and then needed a new laptop for work. I then got a 17 inch Gateway cheap-o laptop. There are no problems with it other than it's just gotten to be a pain to lug to work. It's about 7 pounds and just a bit too large for a conventional backpack. Needless to say I was in the market for something smaller and not too costly, but I also didn't want a netbook (I've had one in the past...piece of garbage!).
I love how light this computer is. It's 3 pounds and very slim, and being 13 inches in screen size means it's smaller but not TOO small (like a netbook). Setup was very easy. I also like having the USB ports in the back. I use a Sprint air card for the internet on the run, and on my Gateway the USB ports are on the sides and prone to being accidentally knocked about and thus disconnected. They are very snug, as someone else mentioned but I don't see that being a problem.
I'm not very tech-savvy so I can't comment much about its innards, but I can say it is very fast and have had no problems with hardware or software thus far!
Something that is annoying, but is something I have to deal with, is the touch pad. There is no separate left and right mouse buttons, but I like to use a roller-ball "mouse" anyways so it's not much of a problem.
I think the only thing I can complain about is all the bloatware installed. I got rid of the "apps" that were on it (like Evernote), Skype, and others programs, and also uninstalled McAffee in favor of Microsoft Security Essentials (hey it's free and doesn't slow down my computer like McAffee did!).
So all in all, I think I got a win.

This is the best computer ever! You can take it anywhere you go without big problems, it is light and thin, perfect!

What's great about it: Compact, fast, powerful.
What's not so great: USB ports are a little tight but I can live with it.
This laptop is a dream. Slim, lightweight and powerful. I am a photographer and the RAM and hard drive are sufficient for my needs. The display is beautiful and the HDMI out is a nice little extra. I have a larger heavier laptop that is now my main computer. I bought this one because I wanted something i could easily travel with. It takes up little space in my bag and seems very sturdy so far. Love it!

What's great about it: Great looks, super screen, very fast, nice WiFi & display

I ordered this unit as soon as BestBuy had it in stock, received it, and am NOT disappointed. First off, this notebook is gorgeous. It starts quickly, runs very fast, and the wireless is superb. The 20GIG flash drive built-in makes it start fast and the 320GB drive is fast enough for anyone to use (ALERT: if you want to upgrade the hard drive, know that it is a 'low-profile' notebook drive). Make sure you DO have either a USB DVD burner or 16GB USB flash drive to make your recovery software (it is not included with the system).
So if anyone out there bought a MacBook Air and tried to load Windows 7, only to find out that 'Boot Camp' does not work with the MB Air, and gave up, NOW you can get a similar unit for less money with a 64-bit Windows 7 OS already installed. It is a dream come true.
I can find no fault with this computer and plan to travel with it whenever I get a chance. It is a blast to use.
This product is... Easy to set up and is lightning fast, slides into your briefcase easily
