What's great about it: performance
What's not so great: small water tanks.
Bought this one as a replacement for an older Bissell machine. Machine was delivered and started using it right away. Am amazed at how much dirt is coming out of carpet which get cleaned regularly. Used it on stairs and they came out great! Only con is the water tanks need to be filled and emptied frequently because thet are not terribly big, but overall a great machine!!

What's great about it: 2 tanks, easy to clean, does a good job
What's not so great: after a month of use........nothing.
First of all, if you can't put this machine together in 20 minutes, without instructions, you better hire a pro to do your carpets. There are only 2 screws to assemble and the stickers on the machine show you how to put them in. I love the fact you can add water in the kitchen sink and take the dirty tank to the toilet to empty. the carpets are almost dry when finished. I had a Bissell Pro Heat model for 6 years and this machine is much better, easy to clean also. Well worth the money if you have pets.

What's great about it: Simple manufacturing for easy cleaning, full list of replacement parts should something fail in the owner's manual
What's not so great: Nothing I have come across yet.
I have a dog, she sheds. Nothing new there. I'm a bachelor, I'm pretty lazy. Despite giving her a bath once a month, my carpet tracks a lot of dirt. Could be the light color, could be me pulling in mud from Washington rain. Who knows? Anyways, I bought this because my Pet Spot Cleaner just wasn't going to cover the entire apartment.
I love the fact that you can cover surface area and also use it for small spot cleaning or upholstery cleaning. This thing picks up SO MUCH FUR my carpets look brand new. I couldn't believe the amount of dirt and fur it took up in just one cleaning. I was very satisfied with the performance.
Cleaning it was a little tiresome. You'll have to take apart a good majority of the features, but Bissell made it easy with simple crosstip screws holding everything important in. I recommend taking apart the clear guidance vanes and cleaning those out before the fur and dirt cake on. You're going to want to clea the product after you're done using it to ensure that it isn't growing anything after moisture is introduced. Taking it apart was a simple matter and putting it together was just as easy. I will certainly get my money's worth out of this.
People complain about weight, or clean water to dirty water ratio. I just don't see it that way. The portabiliy ensures that this isn't a huge upright deep cleaner. If you want one of those, buy one of those. This is the best of both worlds while compromising quantity and weight. Deal with it. Buy the product you need, not just the latest one with the coolest gizmos.

What's great about it: Gets all the hair out of the rug.
What's not so great: Seems to not pull out all the moisture.
The unit was a little tuff to assemble due to one of the screws is located inside the carrying handle you had have thin screw driver to get at it. But the unit worked great at getting hair out of the rug. I have a Kirby vacuum that we use and the machine took so much hair out of the rug it was crazy.

Talk about dirty water. Love the fact that this shampooer has two seperate chambers. One for hot clean water and one for the dirty. It picks up everything. Be sure to thoroughly clean it after using or all those hairs and carpet pieces will dry to it. Great suctions power. My carpets dried after about 4 to 6 hours and that was going over it TWICE! Highly recommend, highly. It even has a built in water heater to keep your water hot. The hot water container is flat so when you're at the sink, no spilling out and no having to hold it and take a chance on getting burned by hot water. Very easy to clean and carry. Easy to use on my stairs. Nothing negative about this product except I should have bought MORE 'Shampoo for it at time of purchase.

Before and after, first pass!
What's great about it: The detachable cleaner making it portable is awesome for doing your car!
What's not so great: Undersized, but not terribly small solution tank.
Cleaned the floors in our rental house like a champ! I bought the professional 2x cleaner that was $30. The picture below shows all though. As the saying goes a picture is worth 1,000 words!
The refill tank is kind of small but it's not bad. I went through 3 refills on a 20x20 room that was heavily soiled.
The heater does well at keeping the water warm. I think the key here is to follow the instructions and put HOT water in it to begin with.
It's not heavy until you put water in it. I honestly don't know why people complain about the weight of steam cleaners. You put a couple of gallons of water in it and expect the water to be lighter? lol
All in all a great machine and I will recommend it to anyone that asks!

What's great about it: Design is well done
What's not so great: heavy and the water doesn't seem that hot
I had a bissell steam cleaner that I got when my aged dog lost his leg to cancer and had lots of accidents on chemo. I just got one at target and got the cheapest non-pet model. It worked o.k. but I'm sure the pet hair got to it. This one has many improvements.
The original one had lots of little nooks for dog hair and dirt to get trapped. I found myself trying to get the clumps out with chopsticks. It also had to use hot tap water and it had no steam heater. The parts were hard to get on and off and didn't fit well together. The design team clearly spent greater time on this one. Each of these problems is solved. This took up a lot of dirt that the previous one had clearly left behind.
I also appreciate the ability to take off the steamer. The thing is heavy and I can keep this part upstairs for accidents and then bring up the whole thing when I want to do the entire rug. I use a natural carpet steaming product. I have also seen that people use simple green and I might try baby shampoo. The Bissell stuff is pretty smelly and I don't see that it is a miracle product.

The 'crud' it left for me to pick up.
What's great about it: Easy to assemble, easy to fill, easy to empty, easy trigger
What's not so great: tank does not lock to base, heavy
My first encounter with this machine was NOT pleasant. It seemed to put down WAY too much water compared to what it was taking back up. For half a tank of clean water, there was not quite 2 inches in the bottom of the dirty tank. I was thinking it would be 3 days before my carpet was dry, and I would be left with smelly, though clean LOOKING carpet. After 3 hours with the windows open on a dry, 63 degree day, the carpets are all but dry. THAT was a pleasant surprise, although we shall see how long it takes to dry when I can't open the windows. Some other things I will mention: clean water. It requires very little of the Bissell cleaning solution, which I like, 'cause that stuff ain't cheap! I thought the tank was a bit small, but it cleaned my entire living room and hall (which aren't huge, admittedly, but not super tiny# with solution left over. The dirty tank is bigger, so you're always going to be able to get an entire tank put out before you have to dump your dirty tank. The clean and dirty tanks can be taken to the sink one at a time, or together, although together was a bit cumbersome for me. The spot cleaning portion was a bit irritating to get used to, but now that I've set it up three times, I've got it down. Be careful that you really lock the bottom back on after you use it! My biggest gripe: the dirty tank controls the suction and it just SITS on the uptake portion. There is nothing to lock it down onto the hose, so suction could probably be better. The two other things I wasn't thrilled about: sometimes it spit out "crud" - carpet fluff, dirt, and whatever else that I had to pick up #see picture#. I DID vacuum #with a Dyson) before cleaning the carpet, too. Also, the front plastic pieces that have to be removed to clean the bristles or the "DirtLifter" were kind of a pain to get off. You have to take off the spot cleaner, lean the handle back, then pop the pieces out and put them back together very specifically. Overall, I am glad I kept it overnight, though it does take some getting used to. It's a definitive improvement over the previous Hoover we had for 6+ years. Here's hoping this one lasts longer since it was about twice as expensive!

What's great about it: Really picks up the stains and the water.
What's not so great: Nothing so far
We got our machine yesterday so we don't have a lot of experience with it but so far we LOVE it. Our old machine (less than 8 months) could not be fixed so we opted for this one. The lift off feature is nice for those little pet messes. It comes together and comes apart easily. It is cleaning new and old spots well. It sucks up just about all the water put down. We will have to update this as time goes on. Right now, we would recommend this to anyone who needs a machine to clean up after pets.

The cleaner is not sealed very well, therefore does not suck up the water sprayed down to clean carpet. The Scrubbers work well, but will leave water on carpet, which then makes the carpet stink.
We have cats, and need a good floor cleaner, we will return this unit, and purchase one that works.
