What's great about it: Fast, easy and excellent quality
What's not so great: the trays are a little unconveniently designed. Photo printing a little mat.
I decided to buy a lazer printer because i was so tired to replace my ink catridges everytime i need to print something. For comparaison, a color ink catridge is supposed to last 250 pages. (I feel it's a lot less than that). For the lazerprinter, the toners are supposed to last 1000 pages. And the price for the toner is realtively the same. I didn't get the chance yet to evaluate if the tonner last that long but i have a good feeling about it. So far, i am impress about how it works. i leave my printer on standby, and when i print something, it never takes long to print. I also hook my printer wirelessly. It was very easy to do. I tried the scanner, it doesn't work like other scanner i used. This one is a lever that you lift up, then you place the document you want to scan on top of the panel and then you scan. It's actually a digital camera who take a photo of what you need to scan. So at the bigining i was a little skeptical. When i saw the results i was amazed. The quality is as good if not better than a regular scanner. And it's easy to use. The only down side is that it doesn't have an automatic tray when you have several pages. But hey, it's for personnal use and how often do i have to scan documents... exactly, not that often and most of the time it's 1 or 2 pages to scan. And to finish, not having an automatic tray make it less prone for paperjam or anything else to break. That said, i think it's pretty good.
I also tried to print a photo on a photopaper. The result was very nice. The result look a little mat compare to an inkjet printer. But good enough for occasionnal home photo printing. So, if you are like me, a person tired to run buying ink cadridges, scan ounce in a while and want something wireless, this printer is for you. You won't be desapointed. I'm surprised that the printer is not on display in the store... What a shame.

What's great about it: Quiet, looks nice, great value for the money.
What's not so great: Will probably have to buy the toner on-line. I would prefer to be able just pick it up at a Best Buy store.
I was so sick and tired of replacing the ink in my old inkjet printer. I can go long spurts without printing, but it seemed that every time I did need to print a batch of pictures or document, I would be out of ink. The ink would just dry up from sitting there not being used. Laser toner does not do that. I can make sure I will get all the value out of it, even if I don't print that often.
The black looks just amazing. If you want to print color pictures however stay away from regular paper, they come out dark when you use the cheap paper. Photo paper looks awesome though.
I probably could have given it a 5 on speed too, it take a few seconds to warm up, but after it does it just cranks out the sheets pretty fast. My old inkjet took longer to “boot up”. It was really loud an annoying too.
Wireless setup was a breeze with the touch-screen display (my old one had arrows and clicks, it took forever to enter my wireless key#. I can print to it from any of my devices #iPhone, Windows PC, tablet, Macs). It even let’s me print to it from anywhere, but by emailing it my document, although I can’t imagine why I would ever need that.
It has a different kind of scanner, it’s more like a picture platform. You can still scan documents to it like with other multi-function printers, but with this thing you can also scan 3D objects. They show up 2D in your digital version. It’s pretty cool if you sell stuff on eBay and need a description image.
Anyway, I definitely recommend this printer. I should have made the move to color laser a long time ago.
