I purchased this for a friend and am taking it back. Too much to do with a slow cooker. I loved my Corningware one but it died about a year ago. Best slow cooker I ever had. Will see if they will let me exchange it tomorrow. May be back on line to post a complaint.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
