What's great about it: Sound quality.
What's not so great: Price.
It vastly improved the sound quality of our flat-screen TV. It is exactly what we wished for. Also our salesman, Buddy, was very helpful and well-informed about the product line.

What's great about it: Amazing Sound, Easy Setup, & a Steal at this Price!
What's not so great: I have zero complaints
My wife and I went into our local Best Buy looking for a suround sound solution for our living room. She wanted something that wasnt to intrusive to the decor of the room and I wanted something that sounded fantastic. After conveying our perfect system that I didn't really think existed to the sales guy he took us into the Magnolia Home Theater section of the store and right to the ZVOX Z-Base System. After Hearing it, we were amazed. It sounded just as fantastic, if not better than any full suround sound I've heard and once I did the easy 1 cable setup at home (yes one cable and a power cord!) It SOUNDED RIDICULOUS!!!! We ended up watching 3 movies back to back just because we were enjoying it so much!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Sound, it has subwoofers built in
I purchased this and have had it for a couple of months. We love the sound. I love the fact that is level the sound so that the commercials aren't yelling at me anymore! It looks nice and has a great sound. I'm very happy with this purchase.

What's great about it: room filling clear sound, easy to set up
Sales rep in the Magnolia department told me about Z Base. They did not have one in stock to demo---to bad. The price was more than I had budgeted for "speakers". I purchased a different brand sound bar at BB. When I tried to hook to my TV could not due to no digital port. I returned that unit because I wanted a simple system for TV and all media center plus the sound was not all that great for the $350.00. So I stepped up to the Z 580. WOW how cool! Due to BB not stocking in stores--too bad, I ordered on line. It arrived two weeks before anticipated delivery posted on order site--WOW. It took longer to unbox the unit then to hook it up--WOW. My wife does not get too exicted about electronics but after a couple minutes of listening she said WOW! TV, no more blasting ads. The sound level control works great. Blue Ray sounds great. CD's great. Even the music channels on Direct TV sounds great. It is hard to justify spending money on a sound system you can't hear before purchase. If BB would stock, sales would be over the top. Take the chance--WOW

What's great about it: quality of sound
The ZVOX580 has exceptional sound quality due to the Class D amplifier. And with 120Watts it is all you need. You can improve voice clearity which is great, and adjust the Treble and Bass all from the remote.

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME... DID I SAY IT WAS FREAKIN AWESOME. B.J. THE SALES GUY IN THE KENNESAW STORE WAS DEAD ON WITH HIS ASSESSMENT OF THIS PRODUCT. I TOLD B.J. WHAT I WANTED AND HE RECOMMENDED THE ZVOX TO ME. MIND YOU HE ONLY SHOULD ME A PICTURE WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE ZVOX, I WASN'T SURE BECAUSE OF THE PRICE, ONLY $500 VS. $800 bose system. IT'S PRIMARILY USED FOR THE PS3 AND MOVIES, MW3 NEVER SOUND SO GOOD. A DRUNK MONKEY CAN HOOK THIS UP, PLUG IN POWER CORD, PLUG IT ON TO THE T.V. AND FIX THE SETTINGS TO WHAT YOU LIKE AND YOUR DONE. IT TOOK ME LONGER TO WRITE THIS THAT HOOK IT UP. AMAZING SOUND, QUALITY, AND STYLE. BEST BUY PLEASE PUT THIS ON THE SHELVES.

What's great about it: Ease of use, great sound quality
I love my ZVOX! I replaced a 5.1 system that was too complicated for everyday use. The ZVOX is way easier to set up and to operate on a daily basis. It gives great home theater sound without dealing with a receiver and 6 different speaker wire connections. Also I feel like it is a much better value then my old 5.1 system which cost close to $1000. Highly recommended.
