What's great about it: easy to use, great sound
What's not so great: typing with knob and buttons
My wife got me one of these for Xmas. And it sounds great and gets all the best internet stations.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Build quality.
What's not so great: WAAAY overpriced. Poor sound w/ no adjustment. NO CLOCK when in use!!!
This is the prettiest clock radio out there. I really wanted it to be mine. The $200.00 price tag (aprox. w/ tax) is steep compared to others but still, no problem for a well designed product. Logitech's website to support it is great as is their tech support.
BUT:
In a nutshell, I believe a clock radio should have 2 things first and foremost: A clock and a radio. Logitech's S/W and H/W engineers dropped the ball here. Anytime the radio is on, the clock is replaced by the station logo which covers the entire screen!!! (except for a tiny micro clock then rendered at the bottom of the screen that you have to pick up the unit to see.) And even when the radio is off, the clock is ugly and cheap looking. (Black block numbers on a white background.)
The radio is way too bass-y. It sounds artificial and badly needs treble. There is absolutely no tone adjustment that can be made by the user. It is almost unusable for talk radio.
Smaller nit pics: It could also use USB support, I Heart Radio support, (at least I couldn't find it.) Doesn't come w/ the battery or remote; only available at an additional expense. The 2 spin knobs are too close together. Alarm clock buzzer tones are all terrible; Who wants to wake up to the sound of an oncoming train??? or an ambulance??? or how about a submarine's dive alarm??? (DIVE! DIVE! DIVE!) WHOOP! WHOOP! WHOOP! Or go the other way and you'll find sounds like 'glitter falling on water' & the like. Hey Logitech, Why no simple alarm buzzer?
This goes back tomorrow. (I'll probably try the Alluratek or Sangean next.)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
