What's great about it: Expandability. Price. Mobility.
What's not so great: Color of ota is to Tennessee for this gamecock :)
Awesome scope. Read all the reviews from astronomy sites and magazines and they were all right! This is a great scope. Great views and extremely portable. Tripod is solid and the 5" has a built in wedge. Larger appature would give better views but at a hefty price and you loose mobility. Nexstar hand control and software appears on par with Meade. Slight learning curve but isn't everything worth learning.
Great level scope until you know enough,have enough time and money to talk your wife into letting you spend the inheritance on a big boy in it's own dome.
