What's great about it: you play the best charecter in the game and plus the game has one very awesome serious storyline
What's not so great: beat it in 2 seconds on legendary

What's great about it: Graphics, Gameplay, Campaign/Storyline.
What's not so great: Nothing
"Halo 1 was my first Xbox game I ever accuired. I bought full price on November 15, 2001 the day it was released. Halo 1 has been an influence on many of the great first person shooter's out today simply because it was the first and greatest FPS of its time. I have played this game through and through many times and I simply love it. It has great graphics and a wonderful storyline that keeps you playing, plus great cinematic cutscenes. Any one who owns an Xbox or even the 360 if you have not played this game, play it I highly recommend it."

What's great about it: Graphics , campaign , Co Op .... multiplayer
What's not so great: only game in the trilogy that does not have Online Gameplay
"This is the best game that came out for the Xbox , it had everything ... i must have finished this game like 50 times , the only thing missing from this masterpiece was online gameplay ..... Halo 2 and 3 are great but Halo 1 was truly combat evolved"

What's great about it: Good start to a trilogy
What's not so great: the weapons
"This is a good start to the halo trilogy. The weapons could be more accurate, though. The shotgun is so bad you could shoot somebody at the other side of the room and still kill them. Also the energy sword is bad because you cant use it. The energy sword should be useable in this game. Other than that it is very good."

What's great about it: multiplayer, coop, and the campaign it self
What's not so great: nothing it is one of the few perfect games
"Halo is a game that you can spend a while on the campaign and then go to a sick multiplayer with tons of maps and this is one of the first games with a coop campaign which is really awesome"

"This game definitely deserves the reputation it has! I've played this game for hours without getting even a little bit sick of it (at first).
Although after several hundred hours playing this, I just had to stop. But this is probably the game I played the most, and most likely still will be."

What's great about it: Revolutionary graphics, wonderful music score, action-packed gameplay, and an inetersting storyline
What's not so great: Short campaign
"I can't believe how long it's been since Halo: Combat Evolved was released. I can remember it as being the first video game that I've ever played and for that, it has high sentimental value. If for some crazy, horrible, insane reason you haven't purchased this game for the past couple years, you must buy it now just to see how the best selling game series began.
My personal opinion is that Halo is the best of the series, not for it's graphics or game play, but for it's cinematic presentation and musical score. But back in the day, Halo did have state of the art graphics and was of the first games for the Xbox platform. If you've played any of the other Halo games, they all have pretty much the same game play interface (a first person view), but in Halo, you can't dual wield weapons.
Nothing is actually wrong with the game aside from the fact that you might find the graphics a bit bad compared to games today, but you have to remember how long ago it was released and it has a short campaign. So go out and finish the game 7 or 8 times because it's just that good."

"This game is a steal of a deal for under $10 dollars. It is cool because of the weapons like guns and vehicles. good graphics and is rated the top xbox games. I don't play it now much because i got halo 3 but it still is good to have though. I got this game when i got my x360 elite."

What's great about it: Co-op campaign, fun death matches
What's not so great: Some parts of campaign get repetitive
"This game is awesome. It was the only reason I got an X-box in the beginning and now the Xbox 360 is almost all I play because of this game. You can play the campaign either by yourself or with a friend in co-op. The game is great either way that you do it. The cut scenes are more in depth the higher difficulty you play on. The death matches are a lot of fun, you can play with up to 4 people on the same Xbox or up to 16 people by hooking 4 Xbox’s together. Everything about this game is great. Check it out, at least to see how the story arch with Halo started."

"Nothing about this game can ever be described as boring. From beginning to end it has set new standards for the future gaming generations.
