What's great about it: Easy setup, good price, great quality.
What's not so great: Only has USB adapter
If you're looking for a good PC game headset then this is the one for you. With 7.1 surround sound these headphones really ring! Music, games, videos, it gets it done and done well! The base has plenty of kick and the quality is suburb.

What's great about it: The Controls on the headset are easy to work
What's not so great: The ear cup are not round and the corners press into my head
The head set is a very good price for the quality . There is just enough adjustable to make them fit my head . But a couple of 10 hour torses of BF3 have tought me that the square head cup dig into my head a little but after 10 hours you will need them off for a break . The sound is easy to set up kind of one button thing . Not real adjustable sound . I will post another review in a couple of months .

What's great about it: Overall quality versus affordability.
What's not so great: Has a short cord and buttons in bad position.
I was shocked when I switched from a prior more expensive gaming headset to these - the audio was very crisp, clear, and presented a decent soundstage for headphones. I had to take them off to make sure the audio wasn't coming from another source.
Despite my rather large head, they fit comfortably - even when playing games or videos for hours; I wear glasses too and I do occasionally remove them then to "rest" the sides of my head.
The only real negative is the short cord on these, but an external USB hub with a long cord alleviates that issue.
Overall good value, sound, and performance.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: good price and sound
I am really enjoying this pair of headphones, The only minor problem I have is that occasionally I will accidentally adjust the volume with my shoulder as the adjuster is on the bottom of the ear.

Well, I've had a turtle beach x11 for the last 3 years and finally the tape that was holding them together on both sides finally gave out, so I was off to find a new headset.
First off, I tried the Tritton series, which I didn't entirely like. They didn't give me the option between movies and games and music and what not to choose the sound quality and base levels. Also, the one I had chose was only compatible with Xbox, which I didn't entirely know.
I took them back, and finally found this product online. After seeing a ton of awesome reviews on it, I decided to give it a try.
I've had them for only a couple hours, but I can't seem to get away from them, since they are so amazing.
The sound quality is unbelievable. Dolby 7.1 has reached more than my expectations. Also, the awesome software that has been included gives you an easy switch between Gaming/Movies/Music sound modes and what not.
The feel so comfortable, but for someone that wears glasses, they might be pushed to your head and you'll have to adjust to what feels fine. I've already found that I don't even realize anything but my glasses, so maybe it was just a fluke with myself.
Well, overall, I would definitely recommend this product, and I was recommend getting it from best buy as well. They have more than excellent customer service, and their staff has always been extremely nice and knowledgeable within the areas the question belongs to.

What's great about it: Seem durable
What's not so great: Noisy mike, poor sound quality, painfully tight on larger heads.
Although they appear to be mechanically well-built, this headset seems to produce noisy audio from its microphone, even in a very quiet room. Looking at the a]waveform of audio recorded with it, it is apparent that the microphone adds a "DC offset" to it's signal, requiring extra processing to get usable sound.
The cans may fit well on someone with a smaller than average head, but on me they were painfully tight.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Durable, Virtual Surround Sound is fantastic!
What's not so great: Can be uncomfortable if you wear it for prolonged periods of time.
Overall this is a really fantastic headset. The day I bought it, I spent about 8 hours listening to Pandora Radio just because they sounded so great. For the people complaining about the sound, you may need to upgrade your sound card.
The only issue I have, is the over-the-ear design with the headset is a bit uncomfortable because it mushes your earlobe down, and is not big enough to cover it. To remedy this, I just take the headset off for about 5 minutes each hour.
Like I said - overall great. Price isn't bad, especially considering the microphone quality, and the durability of the overall headset.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love these headphones i had problems using real speakers becuse of rooms near me but these headphone are great nice sound good comfort and no noise complaints love these head phones just be nice to them and u will love them if u abuse them u will break them like my buddy but if u like ur things u will love them i will tell everyone to buy them great sound

I have Windows 7. I don't believe these are compatible with it. I installed the drivers from the CD and had sound issues. Uninstalled them and let Windows install drivers and no issues after that.
Great head set. Sound is wonderful. Mic is good. I've had them for about a month now. So no real use for durability, but they seem very good.

What's great about it: Such a low price for such a good headset, sounds great, feels comfy, Mic sounds great
What's not so great: Cord could be a LITTLE longer, (I had to move my PC a litle closer to me because of this),
I would definitely suggest this headset to any gamer who is really into gaming. I used this at a gaming event and the noise cancellation was great(It was at a REALLY loud venue)
The surround sound is also really good for music. I don't really like to use it for games, but when im just chilling at my PC i turn the surround sound on and blast music.
If you want a top notch gaming headset that's not too expensive, or even just a headset for something other than gaming this is a great headset.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GO BIG OR GO HOME, I contemplated spending over $300 for a set of headphones, but wanted the best. I was sick in my stomach for a few days after paying the bill, but overall the headphones are super comfortable and 10x's more durable than the Turtle Beach Headphones.

While they're advertised by Plantronics as being durable due to a metal frame, they neglect to mention the plastic clip that holds the two metal frames together. This plastic clip (the cylindrical portion that would be about even with your temples when wearing them) has broken three times now, in the exact same way. This is either a case of shoddy quality control or terrible design. Thankfully I bought these in-store and they can be easily replaced.

First off, the description on the page is wrong. The text is cut and pasted from the Plantronics 380 product with a line or two added, and it mis-represents the product. i was looking for what it apparently described, and headset with 1/8 cables and a usb adapter. This product is usb only. the description is correct on the demo button.
other than that, its a passable headset. its lighter than the one that its replacing and the speakers are more recessed so they don't touch my ears as often. the ear cups are smaller that the plantronics headset its replacing and that seems to add to the heat retention. the sound is decent in games but so-so for music or movies.
overall, if this was the product i was expecting, id rate it higher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am a gamer. I did a lot of research before buying and these are an absolute steal! This headset easily competes with (are arguably equal to or better than) headsets 3x it's value! You just can't beat'em. These are not noise cancelling muffs, so if you require no noise whatsoever except what is coming through your muff speakers, these are not for you. I personally have the need (kids and more) to hear outside of the headset when necessary - these allow me to do just that without compromising the awesome sound. I gave this set a 4/5 star rating for comfort due to the fact that I am fairly certain one can't go on a 12 hours gaming binge without have to break every 3-4 hours in order to prevent ear discomfort. So,if your a 3-4 hour a day gamer with the occasional 8+ hour gaming binge, they are perfectly comfortable. If you game binge daily though, and you have unlimited $$$, you would probably want to buy a higher price headset for over-the-top longer hours of comfort.

I bought these thinking, hey they are probably just as comfortable and good as lets say razer or steelseries, just cheaper because they aren't sponsors and such.
I was majorly wrong... the square design of the headset, and the inability to rotate forward causes great strain towards the jaw, and genuinely uncomfortable after just 5 minutes, no amount of adjustment helped any. Was really disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had these for over a month now, and I can honestly say that I love them. They are very comfortable; in fact, I can wear them for hours without any discomfort. The 7.1 sound is really well done, too. It's a nice extra touch for games like Diablo 3 and Skyrim.
The setup was very easy. I will say that at first I thought they were defective, but it turns out that I had them plugged into a bad USB 3.0 port. I changed ports (regular USB 2.0 is just fine) and haven't had any trouble since.

I got it on sale, so the price was great. The sound is very clear and does surround you. I have only used it on games. I do not know how it functions in "music" mode.
I have been told by another online player that he can hear everything on my end very clearly, right down to the clicks of the keyboard and family members talking. I would think a noise cancelling headset would allow for a little more noise or even some way to adjust the sensitivity.

What's great about it: Sound Quality is Amazing, very comfortable, good padding, won't hurt your head, good price

I was shopping at Best Buy and came across these headphones which I have seen online, and was surprised when they were only $60, as opposed to $80 like they usually are, so I went ahead and bought them. I have been looking for a USB headset that would work on Mac and Windows, has great sound quality, a microphone and is comfortable, and I think I have found it. They were very easy to set up, and come with software for Windows that will enable 7.1 Surround Sound. I play Battlefield 3 with them and it sounds like I am there, and I do not mean to exaggerate, it actually sounds that good. This is a USB headset, and works fine on Mac, except for the 7.1 Surround Sound feature. They are very comfortable, have great padding, and do not hurt your head, other than the fact that they squeeze your jaw area slightly, but I think it will go away after a while. Another cool feature is that the volume switch on the headset (not on the wire) controls the volume of your system, not just the volume of the headphones. I highly recommend this headset to anyone.
