What's great about it: Screen, sound, WiFi, Processor, Expandability, Smoothe Keyboard
What's not so great: Nothing that I can find so far.
I bought this to replace my Dell XPS 15z (it is at Dell for repairs). It costs 1/2 of the Dell, and runs twice as good. This new AMD A8 Quad-Core processor is the best AMD I have ever used. The case is beautiful (looks like new), the display is great, WiFi strong & easy to set up, great hard drive, and a fantastic keyboard & touchpad. I have really enjoyed this computer so far. Before it arrived, I had already bought a 16GB (2x8GB) set of Corsair PC3-10600 RAM to install. It runs the 16GB very well and increased my Windows Assessment scores as well. The ATi video has about 4GB of ram available, and runs all of my programs with ease, even with more than one opened.
I wish it had bluetooth, but for this price, I can live without it. I cannot find fault with this computer and love the super-dark umber brown metal alloy case and palmrest. Speakers are excellent, and it plays DVD movies with ease. It is a little heavy, but not overly so.
If you want a power-house of a notebook without paying a $1000 bucks, this is a must. You will not be disappointed.

Very skeptical about buying a refurbished model but best decision I have made. Save $150 and the computer looks brand new. It only comes with 60 days Norton antivirus vs 1yr free with most other laptops but with the money you save its definitely worth buying.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Overall package of features and powerful
What's not so great: Bigger screen would be great with the same price
There are many laptops out there in many price ranges, but for the price, you get a very good powerful system here that is very stable and balanced especially for a (AMD processor) that has 3 independent core processors with what they call Quad core and a nice powerful Radeon graphics card that gives you some power to handle some gaming chores to play today's games. Also with a built in camera and some clarity with the new (beats audio sound card it really gives you some extra especially for serious sound. , all i can say is for the price you got a nice powerful package here!

What's great about it: Great Graphics, sound, and runs everything awesome
What's not so great: nothing yet,, just the regular HP stuff
this laptop for the price is the best you can do.. its runs all the games my friends 1200 $$ asus does but with half the price. buy this stuff if your looking for a laptop between 400-600 best quality and plays everything great! nothing has happened yet except for some screen glitch outs but thats just because of uninstalling all the HP bloatware in the beginning:D not that everything installed it runs fine.. great laptop
