What's great about it: Sound quallity, adjustability
What's not so great: No inline volume control, padding
"Bought these for $10 after Thanksgiving. For this price the sound quallity is above average. The flip design could use some work; cord gets tangled easily and gets in the way. There's no inline volume control... first pair of "monitor" headphones I've had without. Overall, I'd recomend waiting for them to be on sale for less than $20 before buying!"

What's great about it: Great price and sound
What's not so great: After wearing them for a while, they hurt your ear, but the sound qualtiy makes up for that!
"These headphones are great for listening to any type of music. They have a great bass sound and a nice clear tone. They can be used for listening to an ipod or plugging into a portable keyboard. Good job sony!!!!!"

What's great about it: Price, quality, sound and it's Sony!!!!!
What's not so great: I can't say anything bad about these headphones!
"I honestly didn't think these headphones were going to be so great because of how cheap they were. When I used them I heard great quality sound. I use them for music production and these headphones are right up there in sound and quality compared to the more expensive headphones. This is a small investment for a good quality product. Go get yourself a pair of these headphones. I highly reccomend them."

What's great about it: Comfortable, durable, great sound quality, has an extra changable end & great price compared to others places.
"This was a great purchase for my boyfriend. He really loves listening to music and i decided to purchase these Sony headphones for him. (I chose Sony because it's a quality brand) The headphones are great and he LOVED them! They are comfortable, stylist, has great sound quality, and durable! i really can't find anything that's wrong with these headphones."

"The headphones that sit in your ears cause me pain. These feel great and the sound quality is awesome. You know how sometimes when you are on a plane you still struggle to hear the sound due to jet noise? I had no problem with these and the volume was not even set that high. HIGHLY recommend."

What's great about it: It sounds very very nice.
What's not so great: If you use it for more than an hour it might bother you deppending on how big your ears are.
"If you are like me " love loud music", then it's the ideal headphone. Buy it and I guarantee you won't regret.

What's great about it: Awesome Price; good sound; long cord; Sony brand
What's not so great: A bit tight fitting
"I needed some new headphones to listen to online music while at work, so when I saw these on sale at $9.95 I couldn't resist. I especially like the long cord, and found the headphones sound pretty good (maybe a big heavy on the bess, but overall not bad).
The headphones are fairly comfortable, but do feel a bit tight (unless I just have a big head). I'm hoping they'll loosen a bit with age. The headphones are not noise isolating, but I do find they shut out more external noise than I'd prefer."

Great sound, but slight comfort issues

What's great about it: Good sound, long cord.
What's not so great: Hurt ears after extended wearing.
"Good sound and bass, but nothing real deep. I'm not an audiophile, but they sound great to my ears. The cord is long, and uncoiled. The headphones are adjustable, and if the cord is pulled too hard, they ear cups break slide out of the headband, instead of snapping off, and then they go back in. Only downside is that they hurt my ears after wearing them for an hour or so, but after a few minutes with them off, I'm ready to listen for a while more. Also, the cups don't reverse completely, so they have to be held at a weird angle to have two people listening simultaneously. I got them on sale for $10, and I think they are a great deal for the price."

What's great about it: easy to use and great price
"Bought these for my 13 year old for Christmas at a great after Thanksgiving price and he just loves them. They are comfortable on his ears and have been durable as well. Sound quality is quite good and any outside noises are blocked so music can be heard well without interference."

"The Sony Studio Monitor is one of the best stereo headphones, I have ever had. I can hear a good quality of the musical effects that I have heard in big speakers. If it had also come up with a built in microphone and it's own volume control it would have been more perfect."

"I agree with the last reviewer. I bought these to use with some home recording gear; all I had were earbuds (tons of these layin' around). I needed something that would cup over my ear and isolate a little better. The cheap earbuds sound BETTER! I see lots of good reviews out there for this product. Maybe mine came from a bad production run or something. The comfort and durability may be just fine but I scored everything low because these are a total waste of money -at any price. I'm glad I saved the receipt and packaging. I'm returning them today."

"Sounds like mud tried em side by side with other cheap headsets I already have and the cheap ones sounded much better! Do yourself a favor buy the cheap $5 ones and you'll have better sound."
