What's great about it: Very well-built, compact with thoughtful ports and controls
What's not so great: The screen could be a *bit* better - and I would always like a higher resolution
I bought my mom a laptop from best buy, but it was too big so she returned it and I had a store credit to use for myself. So I spotted the i3 version of this laptop on the clearance shelf, and I bought it as a "knockaround" laptop for myself just to goof off with. Little did I know that it would be a very, VERY usable little laptop with a ton of very good features!
The unit itself is lightweight (around 4 pounds I think?), and the keyboard and trackpad are both very good also. I heard some other people comment on the trackpad buttons being hard to press down, but honestly I haven't noticed that to be the case. The ports (USB, HDMI, etc.) are located on each side of the laptop and there are these cool little doors that flip up in place to cover them when they aren't in use. It's a little unusual, but I actually like it as it makes the design of the case look more stylish (and likely protects the ports as well).
So far, the performance has been quite good (and I imagine it will be even better with this i5 version of the laptop). Like I said, I was very pleasantly surprised to get such a cool little laptop for so little money. Dell and Best Buy have definitely done a good job here, and I would recommend this laptop to anyone other than those looking for a hardcore (i.e. gaming or development) system.

This is a really cool laptop... I was surprised by the protrusion at the back and at first but i realized it is actually better for the screen hinges seeing as they are not hanging on the edge.. Its works great but i've had it for a month and it has started to slow down already. Probably something i installed or all the things i put on it.. It a great laptop n im happy to call it my own.

What's great about it: Very portable
What's not so great: Keyboard requires strong taps
This laptop is light and very portable. The picture quality is very good. The sound quality is very good and clear. The one complaint I have is the keyboard. The keys don't react well to a soft touch. You need to hit the keys a little harder to ensure each key responds.

What's great about it: ALMOST EVERYTHING!!!
What's not so great: USB ports are difficult to access, mouse pad sensitivity is unusual
I did a lot of research before purchasing this computer and am totally happy with it!!! It 's very fast and the extremely convenient size and weight allows me to bring it to college with me. I really wasn't sure if I would like having a smaller laptop, but it was definitely the way to go!! Sound quality is very good, performance is great. I spend a lot of time reading documents, and creating documents and graphs/charts for school and I'm very impressed with the quality and speed of my Dell. I would definitely recommend it to my friends!! Great Price too!

If I could give this laptop zero stars, I would. I have not had such a horrible experience with a laptop, ever. I bought this online through Best Buy to replace my old HP, which had served me well for 3 years. Things appears to be going well at first, but only about 10 days after purchase, the hard drive fatally crashed. The laptop would not start up at all, and I lost all business and personal data. Thankfully, at least I could still return this piece of junk to the store and get my money back. I will never buy another Dell and would not recommend it to anyone.

What's great about it: Light, battery life is good and display is bright and sharp. Speaker quality is good and processor is very fast.
What's not so great: Keyboard could be back lit for better visibility in low light but it really isn't a problem.
I have been a laptop user for over 12 years and this by far is the best one yet. The i5 processor is really fast and the speakers on the Dell are excellent quality. Weighing in at just about 5 lbs. is a real plus. Battery life is adequate and the color and clarity of the video display is excellent. Very pleased with the great price from Best Buy.
