What's great about it: portability, sound volume
the speakers on my macBook Pro are not outstanding. my highest priority was portability and sound volume, as i have to carry it on many flights. its sound easily fills the cockpit in preflight, and i am using them now in costa rica against pounding surf and they are loud enough for a large room. the only thing is there is only one speaker, driven by 3 AAA batteries (available anywhere in the world, last about 50 hours at least) that fit in the base. it still sounds like stereo, don't know how they do it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
