What's great about it: very detailed, love the bookmarks, won't fall apart like my FXIII guide
What's not so great: can be confusing with the severely separated sections
It's a great guide and very helpful for what it needs to be - in my case a way to make sure I get 100% completion and to enhance my gaming experience. The maps are great, the instructions for gameplay are fun and detailed, and the story (as far as I've gotten so far ;) ) is quite entertaining without this guide giving away too much but telling just enough for you to know what is important.
My only problem with this guide is that it is separated into so many sections. For that, I adore the bookmarks. But that there is a story line section, a completion-est section, the details and maps section, the extras section... There is a lot of flipping between sections to make sure you get everything and do what you need to to progress.

This is a must for those that want to play beyond the storyline of FFXIII-2. Nice thing about this guide is that provides multiple levels of information from details of every level to tips and strategy. The hard cover edition provides high quality screen shots, level maps, and magnificent pictures.

What's great about it: A good guide to a great game
This is a nice guide to have for Final Fantasy XII-2. This book includes detailed maps of all locations, a bestiary as well as the basic controls and some tips on the various side quests.
I'd recommend getting this at the same time you get the game (take advantage of that discount).
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: The physical appearance of the book (outside and inside)
What's not so great: The organization of the content within the book
I agree with Ew0k, it is annoying that this strategy guide has split up each episode into sub-walkthroughs in different parts of the book, like one section for the main objectives (located at the beginning of the book), another for the side quests within that episode (located in the middle of the book), and a separate section for the live trigger answers (located towards the end of the book.) It is annoying to have to flip through the pages back and forth to optimize your performance and goals in the game. Besides that discrepancy, the pictures, artwork, binding of the cover, and bookmark are great! If I had to compare this collector's strategy guide to the first Final Fantasy 13 game's collector's strategy guide, the first one is more user friendly on proceeding through the game in chronological order. Nonetheless, if you're a die hard Final Fantasy fan like I am, this book is still worth purchasing!

What's great about it: Very detailed and colorful!
What's not so great: Organized poorly :-(
The maps are not located on the pages with the walkthrough and instead are located in another section with just the fragment locations unfortunately the guide was broken into 3 different walkthrough sections thus making it difficult to flip back and forth through it.
If you bought this guide to get 100% completion as quickly as possible then you will not be happy as you will have to pause for 5 minute intervals every 15 minutes of play and you will also loose your patience with the constant flipping of pages.
I ended up buying to guides one to tear up and organize seperately and one to have as a collectable!
I would recommend this to a friend!
