Very well written and the acting was top notch. The commentaries by the men who are being portrayed in the series is an added bounus.

It is a nice clean version of the Second World War, interesting, nice, fun, old style TV making, all around good feeling about the heroes of WWII, leaving out the gritty reality of the individual

What's not so great: nothing
If you want a true movie of war see this. It is what happens in war. People die over small and large mistakes made by there buddys or the people in charge. Ever kid going into the military should see this

I bought this gift for my boyfriend as an anniversery gift and he loved it. The series Band of Brothers is an amazing show and the Dvd set is well worth the money.

What's great about it: Great WWII True Stories told by those who lived it.
What's not so great: Nothing, it was a mini-series so it is quite long
Any history lover will enjoy this series. The best part is that it is narrated by the heroes who lived through this experience. Very moving.

What's not so great: It's over! We've finished watching it..we didn't want it to end!

What's great about it: My husband enjoys these movies since they are so real
My husband has been asking for this set for a couple of years. He really enjoys watching war movies and this set is very real and life like.

What's great about it: writing, dialogue, action scenes and character development
What's not so great: some long boring scenes but it is 10 hours long so that's expected
As far as any WWII movie or TV show is concerned, this is the best one ever made. It's 10 hours so there is much more entertainment than a 2 hour movie and it's done by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg so you know it's great quality. Buy this box set.

I never get tired of watching this. It is the greatest WWII series I have seen. You feel like your one of Easy Co. As you watch you will find yourself feeling like you are there through it all.
Having the origional members of Easy talking about the things they went through was the best idea.

What's great about it: Put you right there side by side with Easy Company
What's not so great: nothing
This is an awesome DVD set.
This is a very well put together set.
The cinamatography, and plot put you right there in the ranks with Easy Company and you find yourself feeling what they felt, the fear, the joy, and the pain.
Highly recommended for WWII history buffs.
