What's great about it: Size and easy to setup
What's not so great: No S-Video connection
Just a simple box to send the cable box signal to a remote TV. Composite only but not too bad since the TV is only 15" anyway.

What's great about it: Ease of installation
What's not so great: Interference from time to time and will block wireless "G" connections
I bought this because I wanted cable TV in the bedroom of my apartment and that was not available to me. Installation was a snap. It works fairly good but if you have a wireless "G" internet connection it will block it completely. I have no problems with my wireless "N" connection. There are times when I get noise and interference but overall it is acceptable. Can't say much about the range because my units are only about 20 feet apart.

What's great about it: Features
What's not so great: 2.4Ghz interfears with wireless internet and won't work.
I needed to send signal from my Direct TV box to another room that doesn't have a box. The price was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I did like the fact that you had the option to install the unit through RCA or Coax conectors. In any case, Once I had everything connected I could not get a clear signal. Another thing that I noticed is that it would mess up my wireless internet. After doing some research I realized that the problem was the 2.4Ghz that this unit uses for it to send signal. I decided to return it the next day and purchased a different unit that ran a 5Ghz signal. This new unit that I purchased works great, easy hook up and no problems with signal and internet. If you have wireless internet running 2.4 Ghz I would realy recommend purchasing the 5Ghz model instead of this one.

What's great about it: all great!
I had a sender/receiver unit from Radio Shack that finally gave out after about 10 years. It had a pretty lousy picture and whenever the microwave went on, we got a very noisey TV! This unit installs easily, works beautifully and the picture is as good as the one on the sending TV and there is no problem when the microwave is running! It is such a pleasure to be able to watch the same program in the kitchen as my husband is watching in the Den, whether it's cable, Roku, or DVD. Or, I can watch a movie on ROKU, a DVD or the TV while my husband is using another video device. It's pretty cool what you can do without cable access.

What's great about it: Great idea
What's not so great: I doesn't work well
Bought this a couple months ago so I could watch TV in the kitchen while I'm cooking, since I don't really have room for a set top box there. It was easy to set up. Initally it worked pretty well. The picture and sound were not great but at least I could watch whatever station I set the cable to in the family room. The only two issues then were a slight delay if I had the family room TV on (which isn't necessary), and huge interference from the microwave. After a few weeks I started to get interference ALL the time, both picture and sound. The picture kind of reminds me of old TV's when the vertical hold needed to be adjusted. Total distance from the receiver is 25 feet and one wall. Now, of course, the 30 day return policy has expired so I'm stuck with it. The product is a great idea, but it just doesn't work well. I feel like I wasted my money for the Terk, as well as the small TV I bought for to use with it.

What's great about it: Ease of use, comes with wires.
What's not so great: IR extender is not good around Xbox or anything that uses IR.
Overall I would say its a good product. Set up is easy. There are several downsides though. If you are trying to watch TV, you need a cable box or some type of digital to analog converter box to plug into the AV in the transmitter. Terk should of built this function into the transmitter and I would of paid a little more for it. My second and biggest gripe about this product... My xbox interferes with the IR extender. I cannot play xbox and have this anywhere near my gaming system. One final note the product on the Bestbuy website is not the same in stores. Its a more smaller version that fits just about anywhere. Terk LF30s Might also work good with the remote control extender if Bestbuy sold it.

What's great about it: Easy to hook up
What's not so great: Don't expect a flawless picture
Moved our guest room to an area of our house that was not wired for DirecTV. Instead of calling and waiting for a service appointment, I bought this device and it works perfectly. Easy to hook up...took less than 10 minutes total. Picture and sound was almost seamless (noticed slight picture noise, nothing major). No interference with our wifi either, and both the router and this device are located near each other. In short, works great!

What's great about it: It actually worked
What's not so great: Microwave interference, Lack of connection options, No HD.
We wanted to put cable in one of our upstairs bedrooms. After having two different professionals try and fail to find a way to wire the room with coax, we then looked for a wireless option. The Terk system does work. We have it setup in our basement to transmit a cable signal straight up to the 2nd floor bedroom. Picture is clear and the IR extender allows us to control the box in the basement. Now the draw backs. Using your microwave severely interferes with the picture so just know to make popcorn before watching a movie ;) The other drawback is the connections. RCA jacks in 2011? Really? That's it, only RCA (Yellow, Red, and White). In our case we needed to hook it up to a Comcast digital converter box which only had coax connections. to get it to work we had to employ another old piece of technology, namely a VCR to use it as an RF Demodulator (Coax to RCA). So with the Comcast box to VCR to Transmitter to Receiver to HDTV we finally have TV in a bedroom with no cable jack. Horray!

What's great about it: Nothing.
What's not so great: See the review - poor quality and interference with our wireless internet service.
I got this item to have a television in our master bath to watch in the morning while getting ready. It has several significant drawbacks: (1) Most importantly, it interferes with wireless internet service when either the transmitter or receiver is on. For that reason, I have abandoned it entirely since to watch TV I'd need to turn both units (including the one in another room). (2) The sound and picture quality are not good at all. The picture is worse than over-the-air TV used to be in the 1960s and the sound is very crackly. (3) You can't easily change the channel (though I didn't care about this since I just wanted to watch SportsCenter on ESPN anyway). I discovered all of these things after I'd set it up and thrown away the boxes, so I feel as if I just wasted $100.

What's great about it: Works well and easy to setup and use
What's not so great: Microwave oven interference
I've had the LF-30S for a while ( though mine looks different than the one pictured online, maybe mine is older version) and overall I'm very pleased. I spent minimal time setting it up, i.e. no time was spent trying to fine tune the positioning, etc. and have been very satisfied with its performance. Occasional "brief" static, and some static when changing channels, which might be overcome with some positioning changes, etc. The only interference I've encountered is with the microwave, which is in the next room, and destroys the signal entirely. We use it so we can have cable TV in our exercise room. Paid for itself with the first use. Highly recommend.

What's great about it: Easy to set up and works perfectly
What's not so great: nothing about the way we use it is a problem
We used the Terk to transmit the signal from our den to a LG TV we set up on our patio. It is a great way for us to enjoy game day and beautiful weather at the same time!
It was a breeze to set up and we started watching immediately. It took longer to carry the flat screen out there than it did to get the Terk to work.
We have the old school DirecTV TiVo (not HD, yet) set up with dual tuners. It has been no problem using all the TiVo features of switching tuners, pause, rewind and slow motion from outside via the Terk. The picture and sound are both great as well.
Although, the distance to transmit isn't that far the signal is sent outside house with no problem. (See attached photo.) The microwave does interfere with the signal but that isn't surprising considering the technology being used.

What's great about it: It's agreat idea
What's not so great: I couldn't get a signal
I am usually fairly handy when it comes to electronic equipment.
I love gadgets and have them all: DVR, VCR, Multiple screens and DVD recorders.
However I could not get this to receive a clear signal, even though only 25 feet away from the transmitter. Maybe it was faulty. Maybe I did something wrong.
I spent a couple of hours, and various cables, and hook up's.
I gave up and returned the unit.
I had hoped to watch HBO in my kitchen.
I opted to run a wire, at about a tenth of the price, and settle for basic cable.

What's great about it: Wireless, Great Picture and Sound
What's not so great: Can only get the same channel as the host system
Works well, but you are limited to the same channel as the host system. Using a splitter, I have one cable from the Leapfrog device and one from antenna connected to TV to have Mulit channels. Receiving TV set to antenna verses cable to enable both. Have two routers and they do not effect. Microwave is only item that effects it (sound). Best of both worlds, have cable and free HD tv. Good picture and Sound. If cable goes out, I still have stations to watch.

What's great about it: Easy To Set Up In About 15 Minutes, Picture And Sound Quality
What's not so great: Didn't Find Anything
After reading prior reviews, I decided to purchase this unit for myself as where I live the layout in the units are pre-dertemined. After about 15 minutes of setting everything up, it was up and running perfect. I experienced no problems with internet, cordless phone, microwave, or cell phone interferance as some other people said they had. I would definetely recommend this to anyone who is in a situation where either you don't wanna drill holes in your wall and route cable to another tv, or you live somewhere where you can't.

What's great about it: Easy to set up -
What's not so great: The IR eye
So, this was a christmas gift for a very low-tech house. No wireless networks and the home phones do not share the same frequancy. That being said - the product work perfectly in a basement and through multiple walls. The IR eye was the only bummer. Kept falling off, and would block the signal for the "home" base remote so it made changing channels a challenge.
