Add this to your collection. The Dolls were true pioneers. Remember the 80's metal years / glam metal? Most of the bands like Motley Crue, GnR, etc., created themselves and their music in the image of the Dolls. $ex Pistols, punk rock, etc. came years after the Dolls had already been there and done that. They were years ahead of their time and the world just wasn't ready yet. Definitely be sure and get the rockumentary New York Doll and you'll experience what I'm talking about; it's excellent!
After you listen to this "prologue" that started it all, and go back and listen to albums from Crue, GnR, etc., you will hear what I'm talking about.
